<Areolar incision scar (close-up warning...)>After breast augmentation + lift + areolar incision surgery, I couldn’t even touch childcare for a week, and that part was the hardest, but it’s already week 7 after surgery and the sagging has improved a lot, so I’m happy.
I know many moms raising children, like me, get breast surgery after breastfeeding, and you’re probably worrying a lot about how to take care of your child after surgery. After having my first, I was mentally exhausted and focused on recovering physically, so I wasn’t very interested in my breasts, and I think it was even more so because I thought I might have a second child. After having my second, I slowly became interested in my breasts too, and since there won’t be a third, I went ahead and did it right away. People who only have one child seem to get it done a lot even after their first, too? To share a little of my experience on that part, my husband’s help definitely... had limits..^^ (He was definitely less skilled than me, and even watching him made me anxious....) My older child is 5 and my second is 2, so I thought it would be more chaotic than a home with just one child, and I got a lot of help from my mom for about a week. If your in-laws or parents live nearby and you can get help, I recommend getting as much help as possible. Even though I recovered pretty quickly, for about 3-4 days the pain was one thing, and because I had to handle my breasts really, really carefully, even holding the kids was hard, and there were a lot of restrictions in many ways. Oh, but the pain itself is nothing compared with breast engorgement. Back then it hurt so much I cried ㅠㅠ Now that a month has passed, I don’t put much strength into my chest, so I do hold them, but it still feels stiff, so I can’t hold them for long ㅠㅠ And usually it seems most people choose an inframammary incision because of recovery, but even though mine was because of the lift, the areolar incision was fine for me too~^^
✔I’m uploading recent photos from week 7~ I took both front and side views. They say people who’ve had surgery buy lots of pretty bras, but since I’m a mom, I think comfortable bras are the best rather than pretty and bright ones. My breasts don’t look like the sagging, grandmother-like breasts I had before after breastfeeding and being worn out from childcare, so I feel oddly proud^^ After giving birth, I don’t think I had really invested in myself for a while.. My husband always tells me I’m fine and pretty, but my self-esteem had dropped so much that it was hard. But recently, should I say I feel a kind of satisfaction that makes me think I’m happy for the first time in a while? Gaining confidence as a woman naturally made my relationship with my husband closer too haha Honestly, breast surgery isn’t exactly cheap, but at this level I think it was worth doing, so I really want to recommend it to people in a similar situation as me. That’s why I keep gathering the courage to post reviews too :)
✔I’m also uploading the most recent photo of the areolar incision scar. If you look up close, the incision marks are still slightly visible, but at a glance it’s healing so well that even my husband says he can’t really tell~ Compared with 3 weeks ago, even I can see it getting better and better, so whether it’s an axillary incision or an areolar incision, I think time is the best medicine for scars, and I’m really curious what it’ll be like around 3 months. I also heard the areola shape can change, but for me, the stretched-out shape actually became a bit prettier, so I think I liked it even more. For reference, I didn’t have as much pain in the areola as I expected, and the sensation is still dull, but compared with the beginning, I do have a tingling feeling now. They said that can happen as the nerves come back..
So far, I think these are the changes I’ve had, and if anything changes again next time, I’ll post another review~ I hope my review helps moms raising children even a little^^
