You can think of my nose as a bulbous nose and a long nose. My skin is also on the thick side, so it’s kind of a total mess... I’ll share my consultation impressions.
The places I went to were ㅂㅇ ㅂ ㅋㅇ ㅇㅌ
1. ㅇㅌ was really bad (iPad photos, no consultation fee) The manager was okay, but the front desk was bad (not rude, but not friendly either, and completely indifferent. They even called twice on the day to confirm whether I was coming for the consultation.) I was like, huh? but I had consultations in the order of manager > chief surgeon > manager, and it felt like it took less than 20 minutes...? I was recommended osteotomy + silicone implant + nasal tip augmentation + alar reduction + cartilage or donated rib cartilage. If this had been my first consultation, I think I would have been confused. There wasn’t much detailed explanation, and when they talked about alar reduction, I said I didn’t want that, and then they explained things in a somewhat this-and-that way, but I didn’t feel much trust. They also checked my eyes on the chart, but there was no eye discussion at all. The manager immediately wrapped up and talked about the cost, but unlike other hospitals, it wasn’t very detailed. Overall, it felt like they just wanted to end the consultation quickly, so I left without any extra questions, and I wasn’t in a good mood.
2. ㅂㅇㅂ (CT, camera yes, no consultation fee) This place was big and the staff were kind, but the doctor didn’t feel very trustworthy. They also do fat grafting, and they kept recommending it, saying my forehead is low and that the overall facial line is important for the nose, which later made me uncomfortable. Of course, it would be nice to improve things, but when looking only at the nose, I wanted them to find the best option for that. I also had an eye consultation here, and when I said I wanted the front line of the double eyelid to show, they recommended natural adhesion (that part was satisfying). For the bulbous nose, everything was the same except that alar reduction was removed.
3. ㅋㅇ (camera yes, consultation fee yes) I arrived at the reserved time, got photos taken, and went straight into consultation with the doctor. They explained things professionally and thoroughly. Why the nose looks big, and ways to improve it, etc. They didn’t really talk about the eyes, but they did recommend canthoplasty. They gave a sufficient explanation for the parts I was worried about, with no pressure, and I could feel the experience and expertise in the sense of, yes, this would be good to do. After that, the manager? organized everything and told me the cost. They were generally kind.
Overall, my nose has a lot of conditions that make it not ideal for surgery, but the place that considered things most realistically was ㅋㅇ, so I’ll probably keep thinking about it
