In exactly 2 months, it will be 1 year since I had the rhinoplasty I had been looking forward to so much. Since I was young, I grew up suffering child abuse at home, and on top of that, one day in elementary school I was randomly assaulted and hit in the nose. I lived with a hooked nose, and all my life I could barely breathe through my nose. So I had 2 functional surgeries and then cosmetic surgery. I really wanted to live with my own face, my original face... It wasn't like I was asking to additionally raise my nose or anything like that. I just asked them to shave down the hump, because both sides would swell and always be red, and I asked them to do osteotomy too, but maybe the person called the director was just awful. Since the surgery fee for both was only 2.5 million won, they just did it carelessly. Even my nostrils, why is it almost 1 year later and I can still feel something like a lump, and why are they swollen? Whether it's internal scar tissue or something else, I feel like it will never go away.
I have now seen Whee Plastic Surgery and Professor Dong Eun-sang at Korea University Guro Hospital, but honestly I don't understand being told that further surgery is no longer possible. If the osteotomy was done too severely, does that mean restoration is impossible?
Then even if I get a referral and go to the plastic surgery department of one of the top 5 university hospitals in Korea, would it be impossible? And even if I visit skilled general hospitals that are known to be good at osteotomy restoration, would it still be impossible?
Do I have to live my whole life with a nose that isn't mine, a nose ruined after getting surgery because I was randomly assaulted? Since last year, this has really been a life I'm forcing myself to live because I can't die...
At least I want to quickly treat the nostril swelling, or find out what's inside and have surgery to remove it. If you know a hospital that specializes in treating nostril swelling well, please introduce one to me, guys Osteotomy restoration too
