My glabella is high and the starting point of the nasal bridge is high, so my face looked longer and the line was a bit like a slide, but aside from that it was natural, so I lived well for 8 years without any complications But for the past few years, every time I took photos, my nostrils looked really uneven, so I took photos of just my nostrils while lying down, and saw that the columella was tilted, making them uneven.. I wanted to correct the columella and change the shape of my long nose, so I went to consultations whenever I had time for two months
I tried to skip large hospitals / brokers as much as possible and looked for a one-doctor clinic with a natural style (But as I kept doing research, my judgment got muddled, so looking back now, there were actually places I wonder why I even went there;)
1. ㅁㄴ No consultation fee They’re famous for philtrum surgery, but my face is on the long side and my philtrum also looks long, so I went to ask about philtrum reduction too. But they immediately said I would need donated rib cartilage, which made me hesitate.. And since they said I seemed to have used donated rib cartilage when they felt around even though I used ear cartilage in my first surgery, that was a bit absurd.. Anyway, the doctor consultation time was really short compared with how long I waited. Since I said I wouldn’t do philtrum reduction because I was concerned about the scar, they told me not to do it then, so it felt like they would let the patient do what they wanted. They said correcting the columella wasn’t difficult. Price in the 5 million won range (donated rib cartilage) I was more satisfied with the coordinator consultation than the doctor, but the promotional pricing felt burdensome
2. ㅁㅎ No consultation fee (CT taken) I went because their YouTube video about the columella looked specialized Before the consultation, I looked at the before-and-after photos on the website and they looked too obvious and flashy, so I wondered if I should just skip it, but I went anyway. It still wasn’t my style, and there were many foreign patients waiting too While waiting, I looked through a before-and-after photo booklet and, wow, seriously, is this their style? I wanted to run out Anyway, during the consultation they said donated rib cartilage would be necessary, and unlike what I saw in the video, they didn’t seem confident about the result (which is better than being overconfident that everything will definitely go well) After going to ㅁㄴ and here, I felt depressed wondering if donated rib cartilage was absolutely necessary.. Price in the 6 million won range They recommended a 3D implant
3. Busan ㅁㅇ (ㅎㅈ) No consultation fee The doctor who performed my first surgery works there I saw many posts saying revision surgery should always be done somewhere else, so I didn’t go because of the surgery itself; I went because it’s the person who did my first surgery, so I thought they might know my current condition best They were so certain that correcting the columella and changing the shape wasn’t difficult at all that I actually trusted them less.. The consultation was just 5 minutes with the door open, and the coordinator consultation also ended quickly while I was waiting on the sofa But since I was a previous patient, the price was insanely cheap In the 2 million won range / added ear cartilage, silicone replacement The first surgery result was also decent and the price was very attractive, but somehow I felt uneasy
4. ㅍㄹㅁ Consultation fee 5,000 won Even though it wasn’t a same-day booking, I waited almost an hour.. The conclusion was that they don’t recommend revision surgery, and they didn’t even give an estimate They said because my face is asymmetrical, the bent columella can’t be fixed even with revision, and if I do it, the bridge may look bent from the front. If a doctor says it can be done, don’t believe them? They were very honest and blunt
5. ㅁㅌ Consultation fee 10,000 won Neither the doctor nor the coordinator felt especially kind They told me to pull my mask down only to my nose, which was a little surprising.. Their tone felt a bit aggressive and like they wouldn’t do exactly what I asked..? Still, I felt confident in their skill They said the columella could not be perfectly corrected, but it could be improved to some extent, adding septal cartilage + dermis to the existing ear cartilage In the 6 million won range If not for the price, I probably would have considered it + after sedation, they wake you up when finishing so you can check the shape ㄷㄷ I'm a coward ㄷㄷ
6. ㅊㄷㅊ Consultation fee 25,000 won (CT) I did some research in cafes and saw a few amazing reviews, so I went even though it’s an ENT specialist (I have no functional nose problems at all) The consultation fee was the highest, but the hospital atmosphere and the consultation were both good They listened comfortably and carefully checked the condition of my nose, shining a flashlight(?) to see whether I had a septum. As you can tell from the YouTube videos, if there is septal cartilage, they seem to use it first Price in the high 4 million won range / the columella can’t be perfectly corrected, but it’s not difficult / septal cartilage used
It was really clean and solid with no unnecessary extras, so I almost decided on this place, but the line in the review photos didn’t seem like my style, and there just weren’t many reviews.. Also, the fact that the doctor is not a plastic surgery specialist.. and my doubts about using septal cartilage made me put it on hold
7. ㄱㅅ Consultation fee 10,000 won I had been putting off consultations for a while because I was wondering whether I even needed revision surgery, then I happened to learn about this place and it felt like the final boss, so I went There were no before-and-after reviews / a hidden expert kind of vibe / a disciple of 00 I went just from seeing reviews like that, so I had very high expectations The hospital atmosphere was small, there were almost no people, and it was very quiet. It didn’t feel like a plastic surgery clinic at all Like in the reviews, the doctor took photos from each angle, looked inside my nose while I was lying down, and then started the consultation In a comfortable atmosphere, they listened well and accurately identified the issues I was thinking about. As expected, they weren’t confident about the columella issue and said that, if I was going to do anything, I should prioritize changing the nose shape (After visiting so many places, I learned that perfectly correcting the columella is impossible, so I had no regrets. For someone at my level, it apparently wouldn’t be noticeable from the front and wasn’t severe, so that was a relief) And when I said I wanted to lower the bridge between my eyes, they suggested a new option: removing the silicone entirely and doing only the tip with ear cartilage + septal cartilage (+ AlloDerm if needed) They showed me the approximate shape with Photoshop (I didn’t really like it lol)
The price was crazy, in the high 7 million won range (I knew this before going, but the base price seems extremely high) And it wasn’t full sedation; they woke me up toward the end to finish..? The time gap between removing the packing and removing the splint was also much longer than in other hospitals.. I really felt like if I did it here, there wouldn’t be a failure and it would be safe, but honestly I felt like it wasn’t special enough to justify that price, so I passed

Since I had already been to many consultations, I asked again to compare and confirm the previous hospitals’ explanations, and that resolved a lot of my doubts As I kept visiting places, I gradually lost my desire for revision surgery Honestly, I wasn’t dissatisfied with the current tip shape anyway (the tip drops a little when I smile, making it look like a hooked nose), so I worried that if I raised the tip it might turn into a pig nose, and they said my nostrils would show even more than now, so I started thinking maybe I didn’t need to redo the whole nose Just then, the doctor said that if the current tip isn’t bad, it might be possible to do only an openless silicone replacement and a slight correction for the nostril asymmetry (but it would probably not be much) I hadn’t even considered openless surgery, but it seems like a decent option, so I’m thinking about it Price for openless surgery: in the high 2 million won range
Sigh I’ve decided to keep it simple and go with openless surgery to lower only the bridge silicone and slightly correct the nostrils, but my mind has gone back and forth dozens of times, so I want to hear some opinions
