Breast Surgery Review (Consultation to Day 2 After Surgery)

After deciding to have surgery, I had consultations at 4 hospitals

First of all, I have a slim build but I’m tall, and my breast base width was about 11.7-12.5 (each hospital told me differently), so for implants, I was recommended Motiva Demi minimum 320 to maximum 370 / Full 355.

Each hospital director told me a different breast base size, and the recommended implant sizes were all different too, so at first I was worried about which place to choose.

First, during the consultation, there were 2 hospitals where the consultation manager explained not only the surgery itself, but also how much they focus on postoperative care and how they would respond if a problem occurred.

The hospital I did not choose between the 2 had surgery performed by the head director, and I was drawn to it because they were confident about their surgical skill, but the breast style they recommended felt a bit glamorous, so I hesitated. It was good that the director seemed confident, but their opinion was firm, so they recommended only one implant size. The hospital I chose explained both the more natural look I wanted and a glamorous look, let me choose the style I wanted, and then recommended a size that would suit me afterward.

Day of surgery ** Instead of the manager I consulted with, a postoperative progress manager I was seeing for the first time came in, got the consent form signed, and proceeded with payment. I was flustered, but the progress manager was also kind and took care of me while I was waiting, which was nice.

However, the waiting time became a bit longer than the originally reserved time. Waiting itself was fine, but since it was an afternoon surgery, I got a bit worn out from being hungry because of fasting.

After surgery, I opened my eyes and my chest felt heavy, and in my mouth, maybe from the general anesthesia gas, some smell kept coming up, and it hurt when I moved, so it was really hard. At least my legs were fine, so I could walk around, but because of my chest, I walked as if I was crawling.

After 5 hours, I ate dinner and took medicine, then became extremely sleepy and slept well.

Day 1 ** When I opened my eyes in the morning, I could feel that the pain while staying still had decreased compared to yesterday. However, my breasts were swollen and tight, and my belly was so swollen that it was the most puffed-up I had ever seen in my life.

Daily activities like eating, using my phone, and using the computer were possible, and brushing my teeth and washing my face were also possible. Even if it hurt, I think washing my hair would be possible if I tried, but I gave up because I was scared.

Day 2 ** The pain kept getting better more than I expected, so it wasn’t painless, but daily life was manageable. They said I needed to apply stretch mark cream, so I lowered my compression garment for the first time and checked my breast shape. Surprisingly, there was no bruising at all, only swelling. I still don’t know the exact shape yet, but there is no asymmetry and it looks okay, so I’m feeling relieved.
