I got double eyelid surgery 1 year and 6 months ago. I didn’t want to go far, so I wanted to get it done in Daejeon, where I live. I was planning to have the surgery at a plastic surgery clinic, but my mother said Shin Eye Clinic was good, so I went straight there. Since it was an ophthalmology clinic, insurance applied, so the price was around 450,000 or 470,000 won, and I think the consultation lasted exactly 2 minutes.. They said, “Open your eyes,” “Close your eyes,” and then, “I’ll take care of it and do it well for you.” That’s when I felt like this was going to go badly.. After entering the operating room, I waited about 20 minutes? And after lying down on the operating table, the surgery itself took about... 10 to 15 minutes, I think. It was done under local anesthesia, and I could see everything: the eye being cut, the fat being removed. (Because the light was bright, I could roughly see what they were doing to my eyes.) I could also feel warm blood flowing to the side of my eye and being wiped with a wet towel. It was disgusting, so I felt a little nauseous lol
I’m not happy with the result. There isn’t much difference in eye size compared with when I had monolids. And I have a scar on my eye. I joined to look into revision surgery.
