I received it at Wells last September. The reason I’m only posting now is that, due to the nature of Ultherapy, they say it remains effective for 1 year, so I’m posting now after a year has passed. Until then, the only dermatology laser lifting I had received was InMode, and with InMode, when I got 300 shots, sometimes it didn’t hurt at all, sometimes it hurt a little, and sometimes it hurt..
Ultherapy is, first of all, extremely painful. So I think most hospitals do it under sedation anesthesia. Fortunately, at Wells they apply anesthetic cream, and right before the procedure they also use a needle to give local anesthesia to the face. Even so, personally, it hurt a lot. To the point that it was hard to compare with InMode.
As for the effect other than pain, Seeing that it clearly tightened the double chin that InMode hadn’t been able to fully address, I do think the lifting effect is definite. As for how long it lasts, well?? It still seems to be continuing to hold. From the explanation I heard, the duration isn’t like a food expiration date where it ends once that time passes; once Ultherapy reattaches the skin snugly to the bone, aging simply starts again from there, so they also said the duration doesn’t have much meaning.
The doctor was very kind. All the staff were kind as well.
As for whether I would get the procedure again, I don’t think I could haha. First of all, it hurts too much. It’s also a bit expensive. Actually, more than the price, the pain is the bigger reason I can’t do it. But the staff said pain varies greatly by person, and men usually feel greater pain, so please keep that in mind (for reference, I’m a man). If I absolutely had to receive Ultherapy without sedation anesthesia, I would get it at Wells.
PS Because of the pain, I don’t think I can get Ultherapy… like before, I’m thinking of getting InMode in October, and then around November, getting Shurink Universe. I had been thinking about Shurink for a while, but there were many comments saying it hurts, so since I’d be getting something painful anyway, I thought I might as well go for the more effective Ultherapy, which is partly why I got Ultherapy last year, you know? But this time Shurink Universe has newly come out, and they say its pain-reduction effect is much greater than before, so I’m thinking of trying it.
For those who have tried Shurink Universe, how was the pain? I’m thinking of getting it at Ppeum in Bupyeong.
