I had a consultation for the purpose of removing wrinkles caused by my habit of opening my eyes with my forehead, and I was recommended forehead lift and reduction surgery. During surgery, I woke up from sedation and underwent surgery fully conscious for about an hour, and I did not receive any specific explanation about this. After surgery, I was discharged without follow-up observation by the doctor in charge. On visits on days 1 and 3 after surgery, only a nurse checked my progress, and on day 7 the nurse removed the stitches first, then I saw the doctor for the first time after surgery. I had been told that sensation temporarily decreases after surgery but returns over time, but from the day the stitches were removed after surgery, the tight, constricting pressure in my forehead became severe, and I became unable to carry on daily life. When I told the hospital it was too hard, they prescribed antidepressants and neuralgia medication. I am at the point of just getting through each day. I am enduring it while even taking neuropsychiatric medication, and they told me to trust them that it would get better if I waited 2-3 months, but there is almost no improvement!! There was no explanation before surgery about how much would be reduced, so I thought only the forehead skin affected by wrinkles would be reduced, but they also reduced my actual forehead length. On top of that, it feels stuffy and tight 24 hours a day as if several layers of tape are stuck on my forehead, and sensation on the right side of my forehead is extremely dull. The distance between my eyes and eyebrows was already somewhat long, and I said before surgery that I was worried about it.. After surgery it became much too long, the eyebrow area rose far above the brow bone, and as my forehead tightens, in appearance my forehead looks sunken and my eyes protrude, making my side profile look bizarre. Also, they said they would fix it with Endotine, but later when I looked at the records, they had fixed it with Fixtine. FDA approval status is different and the price is also different, so when I asked why they did not inform me, they said they use different products depending on need. But when I searched whether it was a hospital that uses Endotine, it said no. Functionally and cosmetically, I am in an extremely difficult situation, but I feel like I can continue living if at least function returns.
