I went to 3 places for rhinoplasty consultations. 1. ㅇㅂㅅ, Director ㅅㅅㅈ The consultant was kind, and I told them I wanted something natural that suited my facial features, that wouldn’t greatly harm my current image, but would give a refined feel (my difficult needs..). I showed them photos, and they said it would probably turn out similar to them. Maybe because it was my first consultation visit, I feel like I didn’t ask in detail. Still, the price was similar to what I had expected, and I liked the design aspect, so it was generally good. This place required a consultation fee of 10,000 won, and they took a CT scan plus photos from the front, side, and with my head tilted upward. 2. ㅌㅋㄹㅅ, Director ㄱㅎㅈ First of all, I saw a lot of foreigners. For the representative director here, events or discounts were not available, and a discount was only possible if booking on the day. This clinic seemed to do a lot of glamorous lines. When the consultant spoke with me, she tried to build rapport by talking a lot and making conversation, but maybe because I’m in my early 20s, the way she mixed in semi-informal speech felt a bit casual. The director seemed very confident, but I didn’t feel that he was very kind. He came in without knocking and just spun my chair around, that kind of feeling(?) Still, it did seem like he looked at my nose in detail and carefully. When I asked whether they don’t do CT scans here and whether they don’t use septal cartilage, he said that because he has a lot of experience, he can tell roughly just by looking, and that people with a proper, straight septal cartilage are almost nonexistent, about 1 in 100. Then he talked about donated costal cartilage. At that point, as someone who also works in a hospital, I know there are times you can roughly tell, but still, this is an important cosmetic surgery for me, and it sounded like he was saying he would roughly estimate it, so I decided not to do it here. 3. ㄹㄹ Plastic Surgery: one representative director There was no consultation fee, and the consultation was done after CT and camera imaging. I liked that they create a 3D model of the bone shape before proceeding with surgery, and among the directors I saw, the ㄹㄹ director was the kindest, thought the most about my face, and said things that made me feel like he would make it naturally pretty. The director said it would be good to operate using only my own tissue with septal cartilage + silicone. He explained by comparing the strengths and weaknesses of my current face, which parts and in what way, and how it would be similar to certain celebrities. I asked, “I heard septal cartilage is usually deviated in people, so it’s hard to use. Would it be okay for me to use septal cartilage?” Looking at the CT, he said, “The septal cartilage is this line here, and as the time passes past 6 frames, its position doesn’t change, right? That means the septal cartilage is almost straight, straight-lined, and large, so it’s not a difficult nose and can be used sufficiently.” That made me feel reassured and also made me feel more distrust? not distrust, toward ㅌㅋ. The prices were ㅌㅋ > ㅇㅂㅅ > ㄹㄹ. Honestly, considering the consultation and everything, I liked ㄹㄹ, but there weren’t many reviews or things like that about ㄹㄹ, and personally I felt ㅇㅂㅅ and ㄹㄹ were similar, so I chose ㅇㅂㅅ, whose design I liked more.
