Eye Surgery Reviews

First double-eyelid surgery: buried-suture method + medial canthoplasty

I heard that the buried-suture method leaves relatively little scarring and can be undone, so instead of visiting many clinics in person, I chose a clinic that felt right from my online research and suddenly decided to have surgery. I had not originally planned to undergo medial canthoplasty, but the doctor said it was necessary to create an in-out crease, so I did it. In the end, a scar line formed at the inner corner of my eye; my epicanthic folds had not originally been deep, and my inner corners were clean T_T (all I gained was scar tissue). The buried sutures came undone after four years, so I’m currently looking into revision surgery. It’s not that the buried-suture method is bad, but it seems important to thoroughly check a clinic’s procedure reviews before going. Depending on the doctor’s preferences, they seem to push the method they prefer rather than recommend what would be best for my eyes. It feels like they simply perform whichever procedure they are relatively confident in (is this what factory-style clinics are?). Anyway, definitely research lots and lots of procedure reviews, and be sure to check how they respond if there are complication reviews. The clinic I used was not very good at handling issues.
