Honestly, the previous one was posted because the consultant told me to post it lol so here goes the actual detailed review.
First, I went around to several places, and I chose Glovi because they could match my surgery date and the price was within a fairly reasonable range.. Honestly, it felt like I had the consultation in a rush, and because the process went ahead with no explanation at all about aftercare and things like that, as someone who worries a lot, I kept debating whether to do it or not, and because I was anxious, I said I wanted to meet the doctor again for another meeting, but the consultant seemed a little annoyed lol Anyway, I’m glad I did the second consultation again. When I looked at surgery reviews by Director NBY, the columella didn’t seem to come down enough, and I absolutely did not want to end up like that.. So I took that photo and the photos I wanted, said I didn’t want it like this and wanted this kind of nose shape.. There was no “do this, do that” extra recommendation at all! Honestly, inside I had a non-dissolving thread from a T-g nose, so I was worried.. I had seen a post saying inflammation happens more easily because of that.. But this director said he had done many surgeries like this, so not to worry lol Anyway, that’s how the consultation went, and the director’s style isn’t super friendly, more like a professor style... lolololol You know what I mean..? So when I went the second time, I had thought about it and asked various questions, but he made a “?” kind of face and answered with sighs, like a professor responding to a newbie college student’s weird questions, so I almost cried.. lol Still, it feels like he brings out the maximum performance possible from my nose. It’s not the style of “I’ll overdo it and create an ideal nose shape!” He clearly told me the points that couldn’t be improved, and for the points that could be improved, it was like, let’s try as much as possible.. something like that.. Anyway, after making such a fuss beforehand and over-worrying like crazy, I wasn’t nervous at all on surgery day lol
Anyway, what I wanted was to bring the columella out as much as possible, I hated a chalk-like nose, and I wanted a nose that suited my face shape, whether straight with a slight curve or a semi-ski-slope shape.. First I described it as having the feel of Shin Se-kyung’s nose, and I figured he’d take care of it, I don’t know anymore~ Then I went la-la-la to the operating table and lay down lololol And because anesthesia usually doesn’t work well on me, I deliberately didn’t touch alcohol for 7 days before surgery, and when they put in the anesthetic I felt extremely nauseous and said I felt like throwing up, but at some point I fell asleep lolol When I woke up, I was in the recovery room lol Actually, on the same day, I wasn’t swollen at all... As rhinoplasty reviews say, I spent a week of hell, but the next day they immediately changed my ear from a bandage to waterproof tape and removed the nasal packing, so it was bearable. They also shaved the left nasal bridge..? area to correct a slightly crooked feeling (no osteotomy), and they only taped it, so it wasn’t stuffy. Was it on day 5.. something suddenly came up, and after that I worked nonstop in a hectic way, so the swelling went down quickly lololol The doctor was really surprised too lol But there isn’t really any aftercare, and I do have some dissatisfaction, but I like the shape so much that I’m satisfied because of my nose lolol Anyway, I was flustered because they only told me things like A/S after the surgery was over^^..... But they said it’s 10 years, so that at least reassures me a bit.. lol (Though I also wonder what use that is if the clinic goes out of business within 10 years lol)
For materials, they used a 3D custom-fit implant, septal cartilage, and ear cartilage. It looked like I had a hump, but I clearly said that before the Hiko procedure I didn’t originally have a hump, you know..? But they said it didn’t show on CT, so if it’s not bone, it must be Hiko. Anyway, they treated it as a hump and added the cost of shaving the hump, right..? But after the surgery, they said it was because of the Hiko... lol What about my money..? Ha.... I just let it go. Sigh Anyway, overall it’s not bad, and I think you really have to keep appealing to the doctor about the nose shape you want and the nose shape you absolutely hate... Because my columella was really rolled inward, I’m very satisfied and amazed with this much.. It’s still only month 1, so it’s very swollen, so well.. It’ll get prettier from now on, rightㅠㅠ Pleaseㅠㅠㅠㅠ
