About a year ago (+long before I knew about this community),,,,, this is the story of when my sister and I went around to hospitals to get my first double-eyelid surgery..!!
Since it was my first double-eyelid surgery and my first operation!!, when I was choosing a hospital, I think I cared most about whether they had CCTV, even more than reviews. So the reason I ultimately chose this hospital was also that, during the consultation, the manager confidently told my parents that with CCTV they could watch the surgery live from the waiting room, and my parents were satisfied and paid the deposit.
But on the actual day!!!! The manager in charge of me happened to be on his "honeymoon" that day, so my sister and I had to have the surgeries over two days according to the schedule, and he was absent both days... They said there that, at minimum, I had to say the day before that I wanted to watch the CCTV to be able to see it, and the manager who had consulted with me wasn’t there, so I couldn’t even confirm it and we just went ahead.. Still, my sister, who went with me, was satisfied with the surgical result, but both of my eyes ended up uneven, so I regretted it a lot..ㅠㅠ And the person who had the surgery with me turned out pretty, while I was the only one who wasn’t happy with mine,,;; Maybe because there was someone to compare with, it felt even more stressful for me
Also, I had understood until right before the surgery that the eyelid fat removal would be done on only one side, but after the procedure, there were fat-removal scars on both sides (the scar from being cut with a knife)
Sigh,,, since it was my first surgery, I feel like there were things I didn’t look into well enough myself too, so I just keep thinking it was really disappointing,,
If you also care a lot about CCTV, please make sure to check whether you can watch it live on the day of the surgery,,, whether you need to request it the day before,,,,,, please definitely look into it It might also be good to check whether there are reviews saying people actually watched the CCTV..!
