Review on day 9 after full nose implant removal after 13 years

Before <surgical nose before removal> After <removed nose on day 8> After <removed nose on day 10, swelling went down and the columella came down> So far, I’m really, really happy with the surgical result, and since I also got a lot of help from this community before my removal, I’m leaving this here. I also posted it on another forum!

You’ll know if you look at my past comments, but it took me 4 years from getting consultations in 2019 to deciding on removal. At the time, when I searched in this community, there were a ton of consultation reviews for three places that were considered the “top three” for removal. I went to one of them, and when they said it wasn’t a difficult surgery, for some reason it made me trust them. After 4 years, I scheduled the surgery date over the phone and did it right away. I thought if I waited longer, I’d change my mind again, so I booked it for the earliest possible date.  Looking at recent posts, it seems people say it’s the most expensive, but luckily I got a 20% event discount, so I think I did it a bit cheaper. Maybe because I’m older, but honestly, when I’m entrusting my face to someone, I don’t think price matters that much. My first surgery, when I didn’t know anything, was really cheap at 1.3 million won, and it turned out badly.. + The reason I chose from the top three without going around to multiple clinics is that they handle so many cases, so I thought that once they opened the nose, they would do well no matter what variables came up. I also didn’t suspect any brokers.. But the doctor is a bit.. not exactly warm in style, so I was scared to ask too many questions before surgery, and I worried a lot while I had the splint on, but maybe it depends on the case, though seeing the surgical result, I think I understand why they’re called the top three haha. And the price seems to vary a lot depending on the surgical method and the person, so asking the clinic directly will be the most accurate.

First surgery: straight silicone implant 4 mm + ear cartilage + cartilage tying Second surgery: The silicone had gone in crooked, and they said it was because it was too long, so they opened only one side and cut the silicone out. (But when I saw what was removed, ㅡㅡ it wasn’t even cut, so I don’t know what they did after opening it.) Problems: - The border of the ear cartilage showed through red, and unknown cartilage protruded on the right nasal tip. Above the protruding cartilage area, I could feel an empty space, and sometimes when breathing, the whole area from the protruding part to the nostril wing would wobble. (The biggest reason I removed it) - They did something like a shield graft(?) with ear cartilage that was too large and didn’t fit my nasal lobule, so my nasal lobule became extremely bulky. - Overall, the implant shifted to the left, and the alar cartilage shifted to the right.

The removal surgery details were closed approach + complete removal of silicone and ear cartilage + simple cartilage repositioning + capsule removal. The nasal tip swelling hasn’t completely gone down yet, so it’s still a bit bulky, but I really like the shape.. lol Honestly, my nasal tip was completely asymmetrical, so I didn’t expect much in terms of shape, but what surprised me was that they made the alar cartilages symmetrical and made both nostrils the same too. I don’t know how they repositioned the cartilage.. I don’t think the nasal tip got lower either.

And after the splint was removed on day 5, the swelling went down quickly, and after the stitches were removed on day 8, today is day 9 and it has really gone down a lot. It still hurts a bit if I touch it ㅠㅠ Under fluorescent lights, the area where the silicone was is white, and the area where the ear cartilage was is dark. And the eyes that looked pulled together have come back a bit. The size of my nose and nostrils also returned to how they were naturally. When I had the surgical nose, my nostrils were big.. Also, I went to work after removal, and nobody at the company noticed lol. I only told the employee next to me, and they said that somehow my impression looked a bit softer and more feminine lol The problem is that I don’t know how it’ll change if the swelling goes down more from here.. I’d have no other wish if it could just settle like this ㅠㅠ

They say the contraction period is coming now, so if anyone knows a lot about the contraction period, I’d appreciate it if you left a comment ㅠ If any problems come up, I’ll add to the review again! If I don’t add anything, please think that I’m living well without problems.

Everyone who got removal, fighting!! Bye~~
