Nose Surgery Reviews@rhino-review

Rhinoplasty

After rhinoplasty, I had my stitches removed 2 weeks later, and when I said that it was bulging like this and protruding inside, they said costal cartilage had been inserted, so the nasal cartilage was protruding slightly to the side, and that I should apply ointment to the wound every 2-3 hours for 2 weeks. They also said the protruding part would go back in a bit. I don’t know whether this cartilage has pierced through the skin or not, and after applying ointment diligently for a week, it does seem like a white membrane is forming, but even if the nasal cartilage protrudes like this, is it okay as long as it is covered by skin? The director said it would shrink, and if I really don’t like it, they would incise the cartilage and suture it again. But I’m leaving again for the U.S., so according to the doctor, it’s okay to just leave it like this. Honestly, the slight protrusion itself doesn’t bother me that much, but I’m worried that it might thin the skin, pierce through, and cause inflammation. Has anyone experienced this? What did you do? Is surgery the answer? I asked the consultant whether the cartilage had pierced through or whether it was covered by skin, but I haven’t received an answer yet.

Whether it’s covered or not, is surgery the right answer?
