I had surgery yesterday morning, stayed hospitalized for one day, and was discharged today, so I’m leaving this review.
The photo was taken on the day of surgery, right after I woke up from anesthesia and ate lunch.
First, I had nose surgery with an L-shaped silicone implant fifteen years ago. Back then, even though the skin on my nasal bridge was extremely thin, the doctor raised it quite a lot, and the way it showed through was so gross... So I had it removed right away 6 months later. They said they only did cartilage tying at the nasal tip, but I don’t even remember now.. My contracture wasn’t severe, but maybe it’s just my imagination, recently I had been thinking my nose looked more upturned than before..
As for rhinitis, I have chronic rhinitis, and really... My left nostril was blocked, so I never even had the feeling that air was passing through lol But even so, I just thought maybe everyone was originally like this.. you know
After worrying about it for the past few years,
I wanted to go somewhere that could do both functional + cosmetic parts together and where private insurance reimbursement would definitely be possible, and just in time, I heard an ENT specialist would see me, so I went for a consultation right away. The doctor had a long career, and from my standards, celebrity ㅊㅇㅈ, who seemed like a really difficult case, also seemed to have done it here, so I immediately put down a reservation deposit and had surgery a month later.
First, I have a slight hump, but it wasn’t severe, so we decided not to shave it down much. Instead, since my skin is very thin, we decided to place a slight layer of artificial dermis. For the nasal tip, I used autologous ear cartilage + donated costal cartilage. The doctor recommended autologous costal cartilage as the strongest option.. But I didn’t want a dramatic nose, and my modest wish was just for my nostrils to be less visible from the front lol so I decided on donated costal cartilage.. autologous costal cartilage was +3 million won..
The doctor was good at noticing asymmetry. They immediately recognized and pointed out the uneven alar position that only I knew about lol They said that to make that more symmetrical, they would slightly incise the drooping side and lift it upward, and lower the columella a bit so the nose would look less upturned. + They also recommended paranasal augmentation so the nasolabial folds would look less sunken, and since I had been interested in it anyway, I said I’d do it.
The ENT-related surgery was about 3.5 million won (deviated septum, inferior turbinate, nasal valve reconstruction), and the cosmetic part was about 3 million won. + VAT.. I still haven’t removed the splint, so I don’t know the nasal bridge line yet.. but they didn’t shave the hump much and said my original nasal bridge was on the high side, so I don’t think there will be a big change in height. I think I’m satisfied with the position and shape of the nasal tip, which I wanted corrected the most. But the bruising... there is a lot under my eyes... I wonder when it’ll disappear ㅜ
Also, all aftercare at this hospital is paid. Still, I wanted the swelling to go down quickly, so I paid 200,000 won for a package.
I’m really looking forward to tomorrow, when I go to have the nasal packing removed ㅜㅜ
