I had surgery in mid-July, and it’s already almost been 4 months.. They say you need to watch facial contouring for up to a year, but if I were to leave a 4-month review, I’d say I’m a case that improved quite a bit, and I’m satisfied because my face has become much slimmer lol In my case, my facial bones were large, but I also had cheek fat, so the large bones didn’t stand out as much. My facial features were decent, so at first glance I looked okay enough, and I lived without much stress about my appearance. But once I reached my late 20s, my cheek fat started disappearing and my facial bones became more noticeable.. After masks were lifted, I think I felt the importance of face shape even more.. So starting this May, I went around doing research and had consultations at about 7 clinics. At clinics, they mostly seem to recommend the 3 types of facial contouring, but for those preparing for facial contouring, since these are facial bones and it’s a major surgery, I hope you understand your own face before getting consultations. Each clinic says different things, so while using their advice as reference, the person researching also needs to study.
I’m living very satisfied now, but it’s also true that I went through a mentally and physically difficult time, so if I could go back, I don’t think I’d want to go through this process again Will there be sagging? Are there side effects from excessive resection.. Will this surgery actually help me.. I worried, agonized, and researched before surgery, and after surgery I felt depressed because of the swelling..
If you search facial contouring vlogs, people who had surgery share their facial condition up to the 1-year mark and when the swelling goes down, so I referenced a lot of those videos both before and after surgery. Things like the swelling going down and then suddenly being really full again on some days, repeating like that, made me think, ah, it’s not just me lol
The swelling was like that even up to 3 months, and even now, I still have some minor swelling around the mouth area (maybe because I’m currently almost 1 month after nasolabial fold augmentation). The swelling will keep going down, so things should only get better, right? Speaking and eating are now almost the same as before surgery, with no real discomfort, and sensation has almost returned too.
And what I felt after surgery is that plastic surgery is just an improvement, and I think it’s right that it doesn’t bring dramatic changes. Unless your facial bones are extremely large.. It’s more like tidying up the facial lines, and the image has changed to look cleaner. For me, I think this much is exactly a success. I’ll leave another review later!
