I originally had double eyelids, but my left eye kept developing an extra crease and ended up covering half of my iris. I couldn’t keep opening only the left eye with strength, so I had ptosis correction + non-incisional surgery (pinching method) and was discharged right away. It was not sedation anesthesia; only the eye area was anesthetized. I could feel everything as I sat there, they drew the line, and then worked along that line. The surgery ended very quickly, and I definitely stopped using my forehead muscles to open my eyes.
I was a student at the time, so I was even able to have surgery and attend online classes right away. They said that to make the swelling go down quickly, I should walk often and do eye-opening exercises well, so after a day or two I blinked a lot, and the swelling went down quickly.
