This was my first consultation visit, and honestly I had booked appointments at other places for other days too. It was my first time doing anything to my face, so I was very worried, and after spending a year just looking up information I finally narrowed down my list. I thought I would end up choosing between ㄴㅌ and ㅂㄹㅇ, but ㄴㅌ’s appointment date was too far away and my house is more than two hours from Gangnam by subway, so after going today I almost decided right away to go with ㅂㄹㅇ.
First of all, I want to say this isn’t paid promotion. I’m staking everything on this, really. I’ll just write exactly what I felt. (I plan to write a review after the surgery too.)
When you come out of the subway station, it’s right in front. I don’t know Gangnam that well because I haven’t been there much, but I guess that area is famous for plastic surgery clinics. Every step I took, there were all kinds of clinics lined up. Anyway, the 3rd floor is where diagnosis, tests, or reservations are handled, so don’t go to the 5th floor (operating room). Make sure you go to the 3rd floor. I almost went to the 5th floor, so I’m telling you
As soon as you go in, it doesn’t feel that large a space compared to how famous it is. How should I put it? It feels compact and tightly arranged? In other words, the clinic isn’t that big compared to the number of patients. But oddly enough, that made me trust it more. Because if you look at really factory-like plastic surgery clinics, they’re huge, right? But here, if I were to get surgery as a patient, I felt like they would focus only on me. Bigger doesn’t mean better, and smaller doesn’t mean worse. What matters is the director’s skill.
Anyway, that was my first impression of the clinic, and maybe because it was a bit late in the evening, everyone at the front desk(?) looked tired. They weren’t overly kind, and they weren’t overly cold either. Just the feeling of staff who receive patients.
Right after I arrived, I had a CT scan, then front, left, and right photos taken with a camera, and after waiting about 10 minutes the manager came over and said it would likely be done in this way, and that if I waited, the director doctors for each area would come for consultation. But as the manager took off her mask, she said she had also had contouring surgery here herself, and her face looked so pretty that I ended up thinking I should get it done here too.
Now to the main part. <Rhinoplasty - Director ㄹㄷㅇ> This person speaks in a very gentle way, says everything that needs to be said, and doesn’t force you to do anything. If the patient’s facial proportions and the nose shape they want don’t match, he says so right away. My face is broad, and from the front my nose is so small and low that it’s almost not visible at all. So he said it couldn’t be made too thin. In the end, he said he would raise my nose by more than 5 mm, not reduce the nostrils, and match the asymmetry as much as possible. But he did explain what materials he would use and roughly how he would plan the surgery, though I was so tense that I can’t remember well.. I guess they’ll tell me everything later? I’m sure they’ll take good care of everything... anyway... To check the nose shape that suited me, he even lightly touched inside my nose with a finger after applying hand sanitizer... I was flustered because he suddenly touched the moist inside of my nose after I’d worn a mask for 5 hours The more I write, the more this sounds like a diary.. Anyway, I guess I’ll be able to write the exact details better after the surgery?
<Facial contouring 3 procedures - Director ㄱㅌㄱ> This person is already quite famous on YouTube, so I’m sure everyone knows him. He really looks exactly the same as on YouTube, and even his voice is the same, so it was shocking.. But as soon as he sat down, he said he’d speak bluntly, and then really ripped into me with straight-up criticism, but strangely that actually felt good? He really understands the weak points well, and I got a strong sense that he would compensate for them well through surgery. But he’s honestly so blunt... I actually used to be really big, and I’ve lost more than 50 kg... but I still had some extra weight and was already planning to lose more, and the moment he came in he told me to lose weight first, so I was really sad.. But he can’t know just from looking at me in one cross-section that I’m someone who’s already lost this much, so... I understand.. Actually, this person is so famous that anyone planning contouring surgery would probably have heard of him at least once, so maybe an explanation isn’t even needed. The manager also had surgery with him, and the director is clearly someone who’s confident in his own skill.. But seriously.. when he said I have a big head, I was so sad.. He said it’s not the face size of a woman, but the face size of a very large, strong man He said there are limits to how small it can be made.. Still, since he said he’ll do his best, I believe him... There’s no way to fix being born with a big head genetically, after all.. Anyway, if you’re going for a consultation with him, go prepared mentally
He’s not a bad person, and that’s exactly why he’s objective and good at understanding patients from a third-party perspective. I was drawn to that too, so I put down the deposit right away. It was... expensive though... The quoted amount came out 4 million won higher than expected, so I was a little shocked. If you have more questions, comment! I’ll answer as much as I can!!! The surgery is scheduled for next month, and if I’m in a state to post a review, I will.

I actually prepared about 20 questions, but I was nervous and also worried they might think, why is she asking even this? so I couldn’t ask them all, and that’s a bit of a regret.
Questions about cost should be asked to the manager. Questions about side effects or detailed information on the surgical area should be asked to the director doctor!
