Before <before getting filler> After <after filler> After <after filler> I received 8 cc of filler at a dermatology clinic in Hwanggeum-dong, Suseong-gu, Daegu.
Without even having me wash my face, they wiped me roughly and gave me an anesthetic injection, then injected the filler while roughly wiping as well.
They stuck the needle in so many times. After getting a certain amount, it was so hard and painful that I said I would get the rest next time and asked how many cc were left.
Both the doctor and nurse said I had received a total of 5 cc, and that 3 cc remained, so I should schedule the next appointment.
So I made an appointment, but because I was busy, I booked it almost 3 weeks later.
After quite some time, I went back to the clinic and asked if I was getting 3 cc, but they changed their words, saying no, 2 cc were left.
I said no, they had clearly told me 3 cc remained, but the doctor showed me their computer and showed me a note saying 2 cc remained.
It was absurd, but since they insisted, and I had no evidence, I felt wronged but just said okay for the time being.
They injected the remaining filler into my forehead and temple areas again. Again, they skipped washing my face and injected anesthesia and filler while wiping.
When I asked if I should not wash my face, they said it was fine to do it while wiping haha. Then they started stabbing here and there wildly again... Apparently you have to poke a lot for the skin to smooth out? Anyway, they stabbed me relentlessly like that, and after it was over, they took photos.
Around the time the swelling and bruising disappeared, I looked in the mirror and saw that above my right eyebrow on my forehead, there was a dent about 2 cm wide. I called the clinic, made an appointment, and went back.
The doctor said it was not dented, but that it was showing through... It was not lifting, and I had never known that filler could show through haha.
Anyone could see it was sunken in, but they described it as showing through... haha. When I kept saying no, they said they could just fill in that area and recommended adding 1 more cc.
But they said I would have to pay for that 1 cc myself... It was not about the money; that attitude was what upset me so much... So I said never mind, and that if I was going to pay anyway, I would pay somewhere else and get filler somewhere else, then left.
Thinking about it carefully, I felt really offended haha. I paid almost 900,000 won to get filler, so does it make sense that I do not know exactly how many cc were injected into my face???
It also made me wonder whether they did not inject the proper amount of filler and just kept poking me with the needle...
I started wondering whether dermatology clinics usually handle aftercare like this... I also felt the money was wasted, and my head got complicated.
To prevent something like this from happening to you, always check the amount of filler!!!! Make sure to check how many cc are being injected!!!!!...
And if anyone knows whether filler can have a show-through phenomenon, please let me know. Thanks ㅠ haha
