ㅇㅂㅅ(ㅟㅓㅡ), ㄹㄹ(ㅏㅏ) These are reviews of two places. Natural nose: I had filler, so I have some nasal bridge height (originally I had no bridge near the glabella). My nose is short, but the nasal tip area is round so it looks blunt, and it’s not quite a bulbous nose, but the nostrils/alar base look wide? The nasal tip is on the higher side (slightly upturned). My septal cartilage is also on the smaller side. The middle part of my nasal bridge is sunken.
1. ㄹㄹ When I first went, I had a CT scan, consulted with the consultant, then with the director, then with the consultant again. They said something not too flashy, but with the nasal tip thinner and higher than now? would look good. It was my first nose consultation, so I went in knowing almost nothing. They said my septal cartilage is on the smaller side, but my original nasal tip is not low, and my alar cartilage is large, so using those two together would be enough. They also said for semi-bulbous nose correction? since it’s not very wide, removing some fat should make the nasal tip line come out slim and nice. For the nasal bridge, they said they would use silicone and prepare a silicone implant that fits by molding it to my nasal bridge before surgery. Both the doctor and consultant felt so-so, neither kind nor unkind? Alar cartilage, septal cartilage, silicone: used Ear cartilage, autologous costal cartilage, donated rib cartilage: x CT scan: o Cost: total 3.06 million won
2. ㅇㅂㅅ I went and consulted with the consultant, had a CT scan, waited 10 minutes? then consulted with the director and then the consultant again. They said a straight-with-slight-curve line would suit me (they didn’t recommend anything too flashy or high). Just raising the nasal tip a little more and making the nasolabial angle line about 90 degrees? to give the face more dimension. The consultant was very kind, and maybe because she said she had worked with the director for 6 years? 10 years? she really had a high level of understanding of the clinic and the director’s surgery. Here, they would use silicone for the nasal bridge, slightly correct the bulbous nose, use ear cartilage at the nasal tip like a front support to block it (so other cartilage doesn’t protrude forward), use septal cartilage to project the nasal tip forward, and if they think the septal cartilage is too weak to support it, they use donated rib cartilage. The donated rib cartilage is individually packaged, about the size of a little fingernail, not large, and it comes pre-cut from the beginning, so no concern about bacterial infection. It would only be used in the minimum size, attached next to the raised septal cartilage to fix it so it doesn’t collapse. Chance of use is about 30%? If used, an additional 500,000 won for donated rib cartilage is paid after surgery.
Silicone, ear cartilage, septal cartilage (donated rib cartilage if needed): used CT scan: o Cost: 3.4 million
So far I’ve been to two consultations, and both did CT scans and consulted based on a nose shape that fits my face shape and image, so I’m tornㅜ ㄹㄹ seems to pursue a slightly more natural look, and ㅇㅂㅅ is between natural and flashy? somewhere in between?
In 2 weeks, I have appointments at ㅈㅇㅈㅇ(ㅏㅕㅜㅢ) and ㅍㄹㅁㅇ(ㅡㅣ ㅣ ㅓ). For now, between those two clinics, which one seems okay??
