Through online research and in-person consultations, I made a surgery reservation with Director ㄱㄷㅎ at ㄴㅅㅎ Plastic Surgery~
I had consultations at 5 places,
ㅇㅁㄷ: non-incisional + ptosis correction I made an appointment for 11 a.m. and arrived at 10:30, but I waited a long time and had the consultation around 12 ㅜㅜ
ㄴㅅㅎ: non-incisional or partial incision + fat removal / recommended sub-brow lift, but optional. (They said non-incisional is possible, but when I said I was worried it would loosen, they said then do partial incision.. It would come out like an inner double eyelid.. To make the line show, they would need to cut away the thin sagging skin, but that would make the upper eyelid look more protruded, so they said not to cut it away and to do a sub-brow lift. They said if I do it now, they would cut away a little, and if I do it when I’m older, they would cut away a lot. The way they spoke wasn’t friendly and was blunt, but very firm.)
ㅈㅇㅈㅇ: incision + skin excision + fat removal
ㅇㅁㄹ: non-incisional (said it’s not that great) / non-incisional + sub-brow lift / sub-brow lift They didn’t tell me I absolutely had to have surgery itself. They recommended 3 options, but said doing only non-incisional isn’t very good.. They didn’t specifically tell me what to do; it’s my choice, but none of them would be a perfect improvement, and you only know the result after doing it.. They said because of my eye structure, if I do incision, the upper eyelid will become more protruded and my impression will look fierce, so I shouldn’t even go to clinics that say they’ll do incision and cut skin away. They said places that say something similar are worth visiting.. They were very firm that the conditions I have won’t change, so it felt like being hit with a hammer.
ㅊㄷㅁ: incision + fat removal + removal of sagging skin + upper epicanthoplasty They said I’m still young, so if I already do a sub-brow lift now, what would I do later when it sags more with age? They said I shouldn’t do a sub-brow lift now. To remove the Mongolian fold, they said I shouldn’t do medial epicanthoplasty, but should open the upper part.
ㅇㅁㄷ is a very famous place, but it was the only one that mentioned ptosis correction, and it felt too factory-like, so I excluded it. Among the 4 places, the opinions split so clearly 2:2 that I struggled a lot, then made a reservation at ㄴㅅㅎ for partial incision, but I can’t shake off my anxiety ㅜㅜ I haven’t seen anyone who actually had it done here, and I’m scared about whether even doing it itself is the right choice ㅜㅜ
