I went around to clinics in the Dunsan-dong area of Daejeon. First of all, my eyes usually look sunken, so should I say I don’t have fat? I thought my eyes looked sleepy, so I went in thinking about ptosis correction. The recommendations were split into exactly two types: places recommending double eyelid surgery + epicanthoplasty, and places recommending ptosis correction + double eyelid surgery + epicanthoplasty. Since double eyelid surgery and epicanthoplasty came up everywhere, I was planning to definitely do those, and I’m debating whether or not to add ptosis correction,,
The first place I went to, maybe because it was the weekend, had a lot of waiting even though I had made a reservation. It felt like it was running like a factory? If I got assigned to the doctor specializing in eyes, their mindset felt like “do it or don’t, whatever~ there are plenty of people besides you~~,” so I felt uneasy. The consultant was kind, but the surgery is done by the doctor, after all.
Second place: a clinic with one doctor, and the doctor was very straightforward. They only told me what was necessary. They said they would do laser treatment for things like scar tissue after the one-month follow-up.
Third place: this place is also famous, but I didn’t have a specific doctor I wanted, and I was assigned someone known for eyes. The doctor was kind, and I was 80-90% decided to do it here, but then I saw the before-and-after photos and was like, wow,, Pass.
Fourth place: clinic with one doctor. My friend had it done there successfully + the doctor has long experience + not exactly friendly?.. I was strangely drawn to it because they didn’t recommend too much.
Fifth place: clinic with one doctor + consultation fee 5,000 won. There were really a lot of reviews for this place,, so I went in with expectations, but I was a bit flustered because there wasn’t a single person there. The doctor was also full of confidence and said it was a method they developed, but I’ve heard you should avoid places like that,,, so after debating, I left for now.
For now, among the places with one doctor + no excessive recommendations, I’m debating between the second and third places.
