It’s already been 53 days since my before-and-after surgery.
I’d wanted epicanthoplasty restoration for a long time, but I was scared it might get even more botched, so I just let time pass. After getting the surgery, I wondered why I hadn’t done it sooner.
Before surgery, my eyes were very deeply recessed at the inner corners and uneven, so I mainly wanted to improve the excessive lacrimal caruncle exposure and correct the asymmetry at the inner corners of my eyes. I wanted as little scarring as possible, so I had surgery at a clinic that said micro-restoration was possible.
Before surgery, I went around to a lot of clinics, but most of them said I absolutely had to do epicanthoplasty restoration before double eyelid surgery, and some even refused surgery, saying it would not be an easy operation because there was a lot of broken aegyo-sal line + adhesion and lumping.
In the end, I had it done at ㅁㅇㅌ, and during the consultation, Director ㄱㄱㅅ examined me very thoroughly. I trusted the statement that it would not leave a scar and went ahead with surgery. Since it was a clinic with one director, I felt even more trust in it.
Before surgery, they asked me whether I preferred a rounded shape or a pointed one, so I said I liked a rounded-pointed shape, but that pointed would be better than rounded, and we proceeded.
Even immediately after surgery, there was almost no bruising or swelling. Right after the stitches were removed, it was fine except for slight redness at the front, but as time passed, a slightly bumpy scar started to rise. After about a month, it could be covered to some extent with makeup, but there was still redness.
One month after stitch removal, I went back to the clinic and also got a scar injection in front of my eyes. After getting the scar injection, I could definitely see it settling down to some degree. The last photo is from today, with no makeup and no editing.
Because human greed is what it is, I wondered, should I have closed it more? But the director said if he closed it more, I’d look like a frog lol.... Well, I can’t be 100% satisfied, but I do feel my impression has definitely become softer than before surgery, so I’m satisfied. I just hope it doesn’t open up any more from here ㅠㅜ
For now, they said it can look red or the scar can be visible until 3 to 6 months, so I’ll have to watch it until then, but this level can be covered with makeup, and unless someone looks really closely, it doesn’t stand out tremendously.
No matter what others say, in the end it’s a surgery that only feels finished when you yourself are satisfied, so I think I’m satisfied with this level.
