I really had monolids and heard so often that I looked sleepy, so even when I wore makeup it didn’t show, and even when I used double-eyelid tape, my eyes wouldn’t form double eyelidsㅠ So I was really stressed and went to a plastic surgery clinic in Busan that an acquaintance recommended! When I first went in and when I came out, there were continuously a lot of people! The format was consultation with the manager first, then consultation with the director, then consultation with the manager again! The director looked at my eyes and said I had monolids, and since I didn’t want an incision, we decided on the buried-suture method. He said that with the buried-suture method, compared with incision, there may be limits to how high the double eyelid can be raised, and asked if that was okay. I said it was okay and proceeded with the buried-suture method! Still, I asked them to raise it as high as possible within what could be done with the buried-suture method haha They consulted well and were kind, and they didn’t force anything unnecessary! I went with my mom at the time, and my mom wanted me to get epicanthoplasty too, but the doctor said I didn’t need epicanthoplasty and that if I did it with my current eyes, it could look unnatural, so I only did double eyelid surgery! But they said if there’s a lot of fat around the eyes, the swelling can take some time to go down. I don’t have much fat around my eyes, so a lot of the swelling went down in a week, and I think I went to school without much burden! In conclusion, the double eyelid surgery turned out really well. At the time, I did an in-out line, but as time passed it seemed like it would become an inline and then an inner double eyelid, so if I could go back, I think I’d do an out-line with incision! Still, the line hasn’t come undone yet, though it has gotten quite a bit thinner! If you’re curious about anything else, leave a comment.
