I was especially stressed about having a hooked long nose and a bulbous nose, so this is my review after going around to famous clinics + clinics said to be good at bulbous nose correction. I'm writing it down right away for my own records before I forget.
1. ㅇㅇㅌ CT x The first clinic I went to after applying for an app event! It was my first surgery and I hadn't really looked into things well, so I couldn't designate a director. I consulted with the director the consultant connected me with, and they did point things out in detail and explain well. But when I looked them up later, their experience was quite short.. Since you can't know actual surgical skill from consultation alone, I felt uneasy and didn't choose them. Also, the app review photos were clearly of the same patient, but reviews were written under several different doctors, and there were some things that felt uncomfortable. With basic partial photo provision, it was 1.5 million won, and up to 3 million won including hooked nose osteotomy and septal cartilage use because my ears are small. They said if I paid a same-day deposit, they could match it down to 2.5 million won.
2. ㄱㄹ CT o A clinic I went to because it was famous. Same as before, I consulted with the director they connected me with without designating anyone and left. They spoke too positively, which actually made me uneasy. Even after I finished the consultation and left, the consultant kept contacting me and seemed to be pushing surgery too much, so I ruled them out. Similar to the clinic before, they mentioned hooked nose osteotomy, long nose correction, ear cartilage, and septal cartilage use. Since my cartilage is small, they said autologous costal cartilage might be used depending on the situation.. I think they unusually said the surgery would be done under general anesthesia! I don't remember the cost. With photo provision and same-day discount, I think it was somewhere in the mid-3 million won range.
3. ㄴㄴ CT x This was also a clinic I went to because it was famous. Same, no designation. It didn't feel like they examined me very meticulously. It felt too much like a factory, so I ruled it out. I think they explained hooked nose osteotomy, long nose correction, ear cartilage, and using septal cartilage as support. For the bulbous nose, I think they said they would do nasal tip fat removal and cartilage tying together.
4. ㅈㅇ CT o The first clinic I went to after looking into plastic surgery a bit. I searched a bit about bulbous nose correction, then went because it was famous. I felt somewhat reassured because they said it had been open for over 20 years. I designated Director ㅅㅁㄱ. They said with a hooked nose, the face can look wider, so it would be better not to do an osteotomy. They said they would shave down the hump but leave a little bit. It seems they prefer a natural look. Likewise, they said they would use ear cartilage and septal cartilage. I don't remember the base price, but they said they could match it to 4.5 million won in cash or 4.9 million won by card. According to the consultant, there is no separate A/S, and they spoke in the manner of, if a functional problem occurs within 1 year, come in.
5. ㅎㅇㅂ CT x While looking into things, I felt that how they align the parts visible from the front, such as the columella, nasal alae, and nostrils, seemed important in surgery. So while searching for a clinic that pays attention to these detailed parts, I found this clinic. I designated Director ㅂㅇㅇ. They proposed the same: hooked nose osteotomy, ear cartilage, and septal cartilage use. They said the nasal alae are not drooping, so as the columella comes down a bit during nasal tip correction, it would be corrected naturally. They said they could match 4.4 million won to 4 million won with a same-day reservation. The director personally said A/S is for 1 year, and even after that, if a functional problem occurs, they will check it. I liked it because follow-up care seemed the most thorough.
6. ㅁㅌ CT x Similarly, I found this place while looking for a clinic that pays attention to the frontal shape rather than just nasal height or the bridge. The director is really chic. They were the most negative-speaking person among all the places I had gone to so far. They said my nostrils are small, so they can't raise it too much. Since I dislike my nose looking long, they can't raise the silicone on the nasal bridge much either. They said the nasal asymmetry may actually stand out more after nose surgery because the facial axis itself is asymmetrical (most other clinics said it would improve). It felt like they only consulted exactly on the parts I had written down. When I didn't mention bulbous nose at first, there was no discussion, then later it was like, do you want to reduce the size of the nose? Then I'll reduce it. That kind of feeling. I think you need to go in with the parts you want very specifically thought out. What was interesting is that during surgery, they said they wake you from sedation once and consult again about the nose line or shape. It seems they try to match your needs as much as possible. 4.8 million won for just shaving the hump, 4.6 million won with same-day reservation. If doing osteotomy, add 300,000 won. If doing nasal alar lift, add 1.2 million won. The quote does seem the strongest. They said A/S is provided for 3 years.
I haven't decided yet, so I'll go to more clinics and continue writing more later!
