Thank you so much for the care and support. I went to the hospital where I had the revision surgery today, and when they removed the coagulated blood it came out cloudy, so in the end they removed everything up to the tip of my nose as an emergency. Usually only silicone is removed, but in my case there was inflammation in the mesh placed on the septum during the first surgery, so I had all of it removed. Honestly, I feel such relief, like I had been carrying a bomb in my nose.
At the revision hospital, after harvesting autologous costal cartilage they found inflammation in the mesh area of my nose. The doctor judged the inflammation was significant enough to be treated, so they proceeded with surgery. They agreed to take full responsibility, including the mesh-removal surgery, any future reconstruction surgery cost, full surgery fees, and complete scar treatment for the non-open-approach scar care. For the revision hospital, my parent went with me. Their postoperative management was so good, and because they admitted every mistake and kept apologizing until the end, I do not intend to reveal it.
I got a call from the hospital that performed my first surgery with mesh. They contacted me before sending the case to legal, saying something like, "Take down the post on Kangnam Unni and let’s settle things smoothly tomorrow." On Sunday I got a call saying they cannot help if I do not remove the post. First, I decided to visit tomorrow. They said they are losing a lot because many patients are cancelling due to my post on the hospital review on that platform. Well… I posted only facts for the public good. If people decide to cancel based on that, is that really my fault? When I read the positive reviews of that hospital, I honestly wonder how much mesh is inside these beautiful noses.
I truly felt how strong the power of this community is. Thank you for all the encouragement. I will not disclose the revision hospital. I am also curious how tomorrow's talk will proceed.
