A review of the places I visited for consultations, from my list of 44 rhinoplasty clinics I researched over a month!
- In order of first consultation - (I knew nothing about plastic surgery. After joining another cafe/community, I gathered recommended places for 3 days.)
1. B (consultation 0) Dr. Go00, nose 1 doctor ENT + plastic surgery, 20 years They explained very thoroughly about surgery methods, angles, shape, materials, etc., for both function and aesthetics, showing photos and drawings. Whenever I asked one question, they answered with more than 100 in return, which I really liked. The manager was also friendly and kind, like a friend, so it was a pleasant consultation. I was 90% sure I’d do it here. But there was something slightly uncomfortable about the pricing event, so I decided to look more and left for now. + At that time I was completely new to plastic surgery and didn’t know anything, so I didn’t ask about CCTV or aftercare/A/S, but I think the manager mentioned it.
Since this was my first hospital, I later found out it was famous as a blacklisted place lol.
2. Large hospital (Nose function - designated Dr. 0 / cosmetic nose - designated Dr. 0 / eyes - recommended doctor) About 6 floors of the building were the hospital. They took photos of my face there; the eye consultant didn’t get photographed. They took 2 images of my CT and a 3D scan, and it felt different. There were many foreigners, young people, and middle-aged patients. Manager consultation. ☆☆The manager here seems to have an ENT doctor license. Looking at the CT, they diagnosed deviated septum, inferior turbinate hypertrophy, sinusitis, and rhinitis, said I needed surgery, and even finalized the price including a 3-day hospital stay. If that person isn’t a medical professional, wouldn’t that be a violation of medical law? lol (But in 6 places they told me the CT showed no sinusitis), and they played a 20-minute YouTube video from the functional doctor. They said the cosmetic doctor consultation would start after that. (It had already been 1.5 hours after arrival, and I still hadn’t seen a doctor.) I complained at the desk because they still hadn’t come. Cosmetic doctor consultation - it was not the designated doctor, and there was no prior notice. I was already seated in the consultation room when the doctor greeted me, and I heard the name and was like, huh? The manager stood behind the doctor, and while the doctor was consulting, the manager intervened in the middle when I was speaking. The cosmetic doctor spent 10 minutes on my nose and 10 minutes on the eye consultation and then left. When I asked if the eye surgery would also be with this doctor, they said this doctor does both eyes and noses. ☆Defamation of the main doctors☆ When I mentioned the designated doctor I wanted, they said that doctor would definitely tell me to use implants. When I said I wanted a different eye doctor too, they said that doctor gets a lot of complaints. <- I really didn’t understand that. It’s the same hospital, so why are they doing that? When I said I was deciding between the first hospital I visited (I mentioned the name) and this one, ☆Defamation of hospital 1☆ They said the doctor at the other hospital is not a genuinely sincere surgeon, that it’s expensive there, and while comparing that hospital’s facilities, number of doctors, etc. with their own, they put the other place down. They also said the other hospital uses anesthesia part-timers. Since that was a direct statement from someone currently working there, I thought, oh no, and that I’d almost gotten into serious trouble. As for the deposit, they pushed it several times without outright forcing me. I said it was awkward because I hadn’t even seen the designated doctor, and then they said, ☆Possible violation of some law☆ To fix the date, they’d take a deposit for only half the reservation amount as a pre-contract and just book the schedule (only one surgery slot remained that day), then arrange a re-consultation. But they said I had to absolutely come for the re-consultation; otherwise they’d cancel or fill the slot with someone else, so I must come, and then at that time see the designated doctor, pay the additional deposit, and if I wanted, cancel or go ahead and get the tests done. ☆Possible violation of some law☆ If I paid the surgery reservation deposit, cosmetic doctor consultation fees would occur, and if I canceled, they’d refund it minus the penalty, including the consultation fee. Since I had already researched a lot beforehand, I thought it didn’t matter if I paid the consultation fee when I saw the designated doctor, so I put down the deposit. But they kept insisting the consulted doctor had no complaints and everything was connected by results, and that the designated doctor would absolutely use implants, so I felt uneasy. I asked whether, if I saw the doctor that day and wanted to change, that would be possible, and they said they could definitely handle that on their end. By then I had already been at this hospital for 3 hours. I had to go home because of another appointment, and in the end I couldn’t see the functional doctor who had been my top priority. But they told me that if I had time it’d be good to see him, but he was in surgery, so I should see him at the re-consultation ^^ I honestly don’t understand why they even made the appointment in the first place. If they had told me everything from the beginning, I would’ve just gone home... I booked surgery with the designated doctor, put down the deposit, signed the deposit consent form, and left. A few hours later, for the re-consultation day, they again said the doctor didn’t have time and told me to come another day. Because of personal reasons, I canceled the surgery date four days after the first consultation. Then I requested a deposit refund. The manager said only half could be refunded. When I later called and asked for an explanation, they only said what they wanted to say, talked about the law, and hung up while telling me to come to the hospital. So I got help from someone among my clients who works at a legal scrivener office, and I’m preparing to file complaints as much as possible for this manager’s violation of the law and fraud, and even civil action. I don’t mind tossing that money on the street, but I want to make sure they can never again take money from people who come in from far away, nervous and excited, for consultations like this. Maybe I’ll do it again, maybe not, but still, wow, there really are such crazy people in this world, and I guess this taught me to be careful with my words. Even if I was ignorant about surgery, the one thing I did well was having proper evidence. I’ll show how scary it is when a rich, reckless lunatic gets serious lol. From their perspective, I probably just looked like a clueless idiot, right? That’s why they confidently told me to come to the hospital, thinking I had nothing on them lol. I had nothing better to spend money on anyway, so even if I have to spend more than 10 times that deposit, I’ll make sure they get punished. Anyway, I’m preparing for a lawsuit because of this story, but I’ll write a separate detailed post about it later, for the public good, for everyone preparing for consultations properly. I won’t name the hospital.

Nose00 Clinic (consultation O) Dr. Jeong00, nose 1 doctor, CT + consultation fee 10,000 won (Registered as a clinic, so no worries about insurance coverage) ENT specialist + plastic surgery, 27 years of experience. I went up to a third re-consultation. The doctor answered my questions, looked at the CT and my nose, asked what direction I wanted, and explained the surgery method. They explained everything in detail when I asked questions and told me not to do unnecessary procedures. You can feel the vibe that comes from real experience. I went for a third re-consultation. The manager was kind and explained things in detail. During the consultation I said I had gotten surgery from the doctor 2 weeks earlier, and that nose stuck in my mind even after I got home. It was pretty... Aftercare - day 2: cotton removal; day 5: stitches and splint removal (bruise cream); week 3, month 3: follow-up (scar injections possible), swelling laser (available daily) A/S - 2 years, CCTV - phone recording allowed When I went for re-consultation, I brought my younger sibling, and they somehow got consulted too and were satisfied. They gave a discount as if it were a referral discount, so I referred a few friends, and they said they didn’t even charge a consultation fee and that most people were satisfied with the consultation.
4. Nose0 (consultation O) Dr. Kim00, one doctor, former 0&, CT + consultation fee 10,000 won (Not ENT; can do function too; famous for cosmetic nose surgery; many revision cases. Virtual rhinoplasty can be done immediately on a large screen in front of you, so before/after comparison is good. The doctor’s explanation is short, but the more you ask, the more detailed and helpful it gets. Famous for noses.) The manager’s personality was straightforward, honest, and detailed in explanation, so I put down a deposit because of the manager (it really was the last hospital of the day, and I left laughing). Aftercare - day 2 or 3: cotton removal; day 7: stitches and splint removal; week 2: follow-up, swelling laser, bruise cream, scar injections A/S - 1 year, CCTV - yes. For a first nose surgery, the price was high compared to other places. Even after a discount, it was still a bit high. But the reviews and ratings made it seem like the surgeon was good, so I was torn.
5. Nose00 Clinic (consultation O) Dr. Hyun00, one doctor, former 0ㅇ, CT + consultation fee 10,000 won (Registered as a clinic, so no worries about insurance coverage) ENT specialist + plastic surgery, 18 years of experience. Famous for revision nose surgery and as a nose specialist; doesn’t do other surgeries. But the doctor seems to have strong personal preferences... I said I wasn’t interested in alar reduction, and they kept recommending it, then said okay, let’s not do it for now and see after surgery. The manager felt a bit mechanical, but there was no pressure and they were kind. But after the doctor consultation, during the manager consultation, they explained fat removal from the nasal ala. Hmm?? Why didn’t the doctor explain that? Anyway, those were the first two procedures they recommended. Aftercare - day 2: cotton removal; day 5: splint removal; week 2: follow-up When you come in for treatment, the doctor personally does the swelling laser, scar injections, and bruise cream. A/S - 3 years, CCTV - yes, guardian can observe on a PC or in the operating room The aftercare and A/S are good, and the doctor personally does the treatment. The aftercare was so good and the reviews and ratings were really great, so I considered it. But I sent two friends too, and they said they felt a bit like I did.
6. It00 Clinic (consultation 0) Dr. Jang00, one doctor, former 0ㅇ, Won0, Nose00, Bi0 CT fee: about 20,000 won; no scan taken. Consultation fee 10,000 won ENT specialist + plastic surgery, 25 years of experience. Before the doctor consultation, they took a camera photo of my face, and during the consultation they displayed my face on a screen and explained. The doctor looked inside my nose, touched it, and explained in detail and kindly. They answered questions well and showed before-and-after photos of similar noses. But even though they didn’t take a CT, they recommended rib cartilage because they said I had too little septal cartilage (while 6 other places said my septal cartilage was good and thick). I was surprised that the functional insurance-covered cost was processed a lot, and the cosmetic cost I had to pay was the lowest among all the places I visited. They also recommended up to 7 mm, which surprised me again... The manager was gentle and kind, with no pressure. Aftercare - day 2: cotton removal; day 4: swelling injection, disinfection, vitamin drip Day 7: splint removal, stitches at the nose tip and behind the ear removal A/S - 1 year, CCTV - yes. But here I was like, why are they recommending rib cartilage without even checking...?
7. Jeo00 - (consultation O) Guk00, 10 years (5 years in plastic surgery), CT + consultation fee 10,000 won (Not ENT; can do function too.) The doctor looked inside my nose, touched it, checked the CT, confirmed septal cartilage was sufficient, printed out front and side photos of my face, and sketched in front of me, pointing out positions while drawing and explaining in a detailed and specific way that was easy to understand. The consultation was very good. They calculated the price by adding 500,000 won each for things like protruding mouth correction and bulbous nose correction. (But I’ve never even heard of a long nose or protruding mouth until I was born. In every hospital I asked whether I had a bulbous nose, they said I didn’t. My nose is low...) The manager’s explanation was kind, with no pressure, and good. The doctor seems to have a preferred style of nose. The noses in the review photos felt similar, but they were pretty noses, so I’m torn. Aftercare - day 2: cotton removal; day 6: splint removal; week 2: dissolvable stitches, ear stitches A/S - 1 year, CCTV - yes. The doctor and manager both explained things kindly. For the consultation itself, this was the best and my first choice, but the long nose, protruding mouth, and bulbous nose part made me hesitate...
If you read this long post all the way through, you’ve endured a lot, and I posted it hoping it might help with choosing places to visit! While preparing for a month, the total number of clinics I organized, including blacklisted, excluded, and recommended places, came to 44... lol. I’ve got six white hairs on the crown of my head I don’t have to do this anymore I’ve already canceled 3 out of 4 reservation deposits I put down at surgery hospitals a week before surgery, and decided on one, so now surgery is only 4 days away!! Now that I’ve decided, I feel relieved. Honestly, I just want to get the surgery done quickly and rest a bit, so I wasn’t going to come into the app anymore, but I thought I should still write the consultation review before surgery, so here I am!! Well then ~~~~
