I went to three clinics yesterday, and it was really, really exhausting. It was so hot, and there have been a lot of scary incidents lately, so there were a lot of police too... For reference, I had Hiko and nose filler last year. My nose is on the small side, bulbous, with no nasal bridge, and it stretches well.

That person’s attitude wasn’t great^^ So I had a bad feeling from the start, but when I had the consultation with the consultant, it was okay enough? I met the head doctor, and he put a cotton swab inside my nose to shape it, and I really liked it. He roughly showed me how much the height would increase and what the frontal shape would look like. The explanation was pretty detailed too. He recommended costal cartilage, but ribs scare me, so I said I’d do septal cartilage and ear cartilage. They have CCTV, but they don’t show it, and there was a bit of pressure to book the same day. At first they quoted something like 8.5 million won, but they said if I write a review, they’d do it for 4.4 million... basically telling me to write a review, I guess haha... On top of that, they said if I contact them within today, they’d do it for 3.8 million. But they didn’t really say much about aftercare, and I just got the feeling that they wouldn’t manage it well...? That’s just my personal thought.

First of all, this place was the kindest of the three, and the explanation was decent too. CCTV can only be watched in real time by a guardian, and they said AS and aftercare are lifelong. They said they only do three surgeries a day for primary rhinoplasty. Maybe because it’s a private clinic, it seemed like they would take good care of me. They said something like, whenever I come in, I’ll definitely talk with the doctor, so I don’t need to worry. The doctor’s consultation was okay too. He said my nose stretches well and my skin thickness is average, so it’s good for surgery. He was very confident. I can’t really picture how high 4 mm would be, but compared with other clinics it’s high, so it made me think again..!

What was different from other clinics was that this 100,000 won wasn’t money paid to say I’d have surgery here. Honestly, I don’t understand why I paid it. They said if I tell them in a few days that I won’t have surgery here, they’ll just refund it after subtracting a 10,000 won consultation fee...? Anyway, so at 4.3 million, they said correction of deviated septum would be covered by indemnity insurance, and I could get up to 1.4 million won back. Then the rough out-of-pocket cost would be 3-4 million. Nose filler removal is an extra 200,000 separately. Also, what was really, really unusual here was that for primary surgery it’s 4.8 million, and if you pay a 100,000 won deposit, the price is fixed at 4.3 million. No matter what type of nose surgery I do or what procedures are done, the price is the same. So that was kind of interesting. I think they said AS is 3 years, and if there’s anything I’m cosmetically unhappy with after surgery, I only pay 300,000 won for anesthesia and they’ll do everything else for free. All the staff were kind, and the doctor was kind too, but he looked a bit tired,, This was the only place that didn’t take a CT. He touched my nose and said my septum was deviated. Other clinics said it was slightly deviated while looking at CT, so it was interesting that he knew without taking one. He took a side-view photo of my nose and edited it to show me that it would rise this much, but unfortunately he didn’t show me the frontal view. CCTV can only be checked in real time.

But I feel like if I become sensitive after surgery because of side effects or even one tiny pimple, they might find it annoying and not take proper care of me,, They were also the only place that pressured me to book on the same day... If I thought only about the doctor, I would go with the first place right away, but aftercare is really important too, right? Since I have to consider safety and what-ifs, I don’t think I’ll do it there. CT was taken only at the first and second places. As far as I know, the third place takes it once you book surgery, and they said I also need a blood test. The consultation fee was 10,000 won each only at the first and third places. Anyway, I’m debating between the second and third, and I’m planning to go for another consultation at both. At both places, the consultants told me to look around slowly and contact them comfortably if I wanted to choose them, without pressure, so I really liked that. When I consulted at the third place, I was exhausted after visiting two places, so I couldn’t really listen properly or ask anything. So today I asked via KakaoTalk whether there were any more discounts, and they said no, then suddenly got a bit stern hahaㅡhaha; Other than when I asked that, they were kind. The consultation with the third doctor felt really lacking, but he’s very famous ㅜ... But it also bothers me that he seemed tired during the consultation,, They say this place also only does three surgeries a day, but I went for the consultation around 5, so maybe he had used up all his energy or something... The second and third both seem like places where I don’t need to worry about aftercare, so everyone, where would you go?
