+ So many people asked for the clinic info that I told everyone, but from now on I won’t say it anymore. Sorry, because some might be clinic staff ㅜㅜ
Hi everyone, I never thought I’d end up encountering the shameless plastic surgery clinic I’d only read about in posts^^ About three months ago, I had revision eye surgery with the buried-suture method and lower canthoplasty at a plastic surgery clinic in Gangnam, and my first surgery was also done with the buried-suture method at another clinic. First of all, even when I went for the consultation, they said the reservation deposit was absolutely non-refundable, so I couldn’t even think about visiting other clinics and chose this place. This is the biggest mistake of my life, fuck.
For a while after surgery, I didn’t really notice, but around three months later, as the swelling gradually went down, only my left eye started forming two lines. One is the original double-eyelid line, and the other is the line they pinched during surgeryㅇㅇ (see photo) And the lower canthoplasty also returned to its original state after just three months, so I complained about that together. I’m not originally a sensitive person either, so if it were only something that bothered me, I would just put up with it and live with it, but it was obvious enough that strangers asked about it, so I filed a complaint with the clinic and went in for a consultation today.
(For reference, when I had surgery, the director came in reeking of cigarette smoke. He didn’t ask what kind of eyes I wanted, just designed them and went straight into surgery. I even heard him making small talk when anesthesia was being started.)
About a month ago, I also had consultations here for facial contouring and nose surgery, you know? (I paid a reservation deposit and then canceled.) The manager, who was so kind back then, today said as soon as she saw me, “You should’ve just had your eyes looked at too when you came for contouring and nose~” and was sarcastic. I got a bit pissed there but held it in. When I went into the consultation room, as expected^^ she said that in her view there was no particular problem. It’s hard to see, so just live with it~ and originally you need to watch the progress for up to 6 months, she said, then said she’d call the director and left. Damn lolololololololol She didn’t even bring up the lower canthoplasty. I held it in again there too.
I waited, and when the director came in, it wasn’t the director who operated on me but another director. (They said the director who operated on me wasn’t at the clinic, so another director was assigned^^ I only found that out because I asked lol What were these staff going to do if I hadn’t asked? They all never explain anything?) The director was the same. “If you don’t look closely, you can’t really tell, so just live like that~” When he said that, I told him people all ask why I have two double-eyelid folds, and that because I work in the service industry, it’s extremely stressful. He repeated the same chant: “Then they don’t have to look closely~” lol And he said that originally, when you have revision surgery with the buried-suture method, it’s natural for two lines to form lol How is that natural? I haven’t seen a single person around me like that. Even if that were true, both eyes should have two lines, but the fact that only the left eye is like that means it’s just an issue with the doctor’s competence, isn’t it? They said the only way to fix it is incision^^
At this point I couldn’t hold it in, and I snapped back that I had never been given that explanation before surgery, and if I had known about this side effect, I would have proceeded with incision. He had nothing to say. Then he kept saying the same thing, so when I brought up the lower canthoplasty, he said it returned to its original state because my skin tissue quality is too good. He said if I want, he can do the lower canthoplasty again right away, but the probability of it returning again is very high, fuck. Then they should have told me before surgery. I just threw money away, what is this? And no matter how good my tissue quality is, how can it all go back in just three months? I kept hearing the same sophistry and got exhausted, so I just left lol
Meanwhile, as I was leaving, the manager said, “If you leave looking that drained, I get exhausted too,” and I seriously almost flipped the desk, fuck. I’m just going to get revision surgery again at another clinic lol Even if it’s expensive, I can’t entrust my eyes to a place like this twice. I don’t think they’ll refund me, but I’m definitely going to get back at least the canthoplasty cost. You guys shouldn’t blindly trust reviews too much either^^ This place seems hot these days, but I seriously want to stop everyone who goes there.
