About ten years ago, I looked into lateral canthoplasty and lower eyelid lowering a bit, got interested, and went to a clinic that was advertising heavily at the time. Recently I saw that it had grown a bit, from a one-doctor system to two doctors.
In conclusion, I still have what is considered a typical side effect of lateral canthoplasty: scar tissue? haha. That red scar!! And it is a bit uneven.
Back then, when I was hesitating about the surgery, the manager spoke rudely and told me to decide whether I was going to do the surgery or not... I had already made time for the surgery and had gone there fasting, so I just did it, but I don't know whether that rude woman is still there ^^;
In conclusion, my eyes did get bigger, but the scar remained. I woke up during sedation and was left traumatized... I bled a lot and the bleeding would not stop, and after the surgery the manager asked me whether I was taking birth control pills. At the time I was in my early 20s, had never dated anyone, and was a very conservative girl, so hearing that while half-awake after waking up during surgery gave me a psychological shock... The surgical result was one thing, but I was hurt even more mentally.
The doctor was not bad (attitude-wise, not talking about skill), but if a clinic is not planning to close after one or two years, they should manage their managers better... The clinic's image still stays with me even after more than ten years.
Anyway, the surgical result- As time passed I got used to it, so now I just live with it. I do not regret it, but the scar remains haha. They are probably good at it these days, right? That must be why the clinic got bigger.
