I had Wonder Canthoplasty surgery on October 8. I’d lived my whole life never thinking my eyes were short horizontally, but while watching makeup videos on YouTube, I realized my eye length was short. While searching for lateral canthoplasty, I found out about Wonder Canthoplasty at Answer Plastic Surgery. My inner corners were already opened very widely from epicanthoplasty, so the outer corners felt a bit closed off, and my outer eye corners also looked upturned, making my impression look strong. So I became more interested in Wonder Canthoplasty, which combines lateral canthoplasty with lowering the outer eye corners. They said it was done under local anesthesia and recovery was fast, so because of work, I didn’t look into other places. Since the surgery date I wanted was during a holiday period, I first put down the surgery deposit, went for the consultation, and had surgery shortly afterward. The surgery took exactly 30 minutes. I’m originally the type who doesn’t swell much, but I really barely swelled at all. I used 2 vacation days along with the weekend and holiday and rested for 5 days, but there was so little swelling or sign of surgery that it felt like a waste to have rested that much. Especially, the stitch marks were almost unnoticeable, to the point that no one would know unless I told them, so I think it would be okay even if you had surgery on a Friday and rested just the weekend. When I had the stitches removed and checked the progress, they said my original horizontal eye length went from 2.5 cm to 2.8 cm, and I’m satisfied. Other people may not really notice the change, but to me, my eyes definitely look a little more open, and the outer corners came down, so I think my impression also looks a bit softer.
