I have naturally inline double eyelids, and I went for consultations because I wanted to raise the line. Before going, I was debating between the semi-out and in-out lines I wanted.
The first place I went was ㄷㅇ Plastic Surgery in Apgujeong, Director ㅇㅈㅎ. The director was calm and pointed out exactly what was needed. He said my eyes looked a bit sleepy, so I would need ptosis correction and an incision method, and that all lines were possible, but both in-out and semi-out would be fine. Since he didn’t really recommend one in particular and just said everything was fine, it did feel a bit vague, but I left for now..
Second was ㅇㅁㄹ Plastic Surgery, Director ㄷㅇㄹ. I went with expectations after reading reviews, and as expected, he was very firm. He said it would differ depending on whether or not I do ptosis correction and incision, and told me to choose. So I said I preferred the non-incision suture method, and he recommended suture method + upper canthoplasty. He said posterior-lower canthoplasty could possibly make me develop sanpaku eyes, so it would be better not to do it. But he recommended lower eyelid fat repositioning, which I hadn’t thought of at all, so I’m considering that too! When we tried making the line, he said semi-out didn’t look good and said, “Do in-out!!!” So I decided on an in-out line, and above all, I liked that he spoke with confidence about the surgery.
After the consultations, I didn’t feel like I really needed ptosis correction.. so I decided to put that on hold. And since Director ㄷ recommended in-out, my mind went that way for the line.. I think upper canthoplasty might be okay too, but I’m worried my eyes might become too round and my impression could change.. I’m curious what everyone thinks about this.
