I saw a lot of posts saying eye surgery is really important, so I did a ton of online research!! The thing I considered most important was
**Will I be able to see the doctor after surgery!! I saw someone’s post saying they had surgery at a large hospital known for eye surgery, but it was hard to see the doctor. Even during treatment, they said the doctor was in surgery so the wait took an hour, and when they tried to check their progress, the consultant said she would look at it? I saw a post saying they were stressed because of that!
1. Clinic 1 (Director Lee Bo-hyung) After the consultation, what I felt was that there were seriously a lot of people! I went for my consultation and arrived a little early? about 10-15 minutes early, but because the doctor was in surgery, the wait was long ㅡㅡㅋㅋ I was in a bad mood too ㅠㅠ..ㅋㅋ * Consultant consultation? - She first talked as if it were a doctor’s consultation, saying I should do this area too and it would be good to do that area too, so I didn’t really like it. It was my first consultation so maybe I didn’t know much, but it felt like the consultant was naming the surgeries? Maybe because the doctor had so many surgeries, he looked tired too. When I told the consultant I was worried about that, she said it meant he does that many surgeries and is skilled?? I wondered, is that really something to emphasize as a selling point?.. It felt like she was openly telling me he does many surgeries in a day? A tired doctor and a consultant who names the surgeries instead of the doctor? (It may also have been because I didn’t know much, so she was trying to explain more to me!!)
2. Clinic 2 (Director Kim Da-han) It’s a hospital famous for eyes, and I went after reading several reviews! But there weren’t as many people as I expected!! There were lots of staff! Maybe because I went after the consultation at Clinic 1, the staff felt very kind. Except for them chatting at the front, they were very kind!! * Consultant consultation? - She just asked whether I brought any photos, asked basic questions, and connected me with the doctor right away. The doctor was very blunt and cold, with a dry way of speaking.. At first I felt offended, but after seeing the points he identified clearly, I thought it was kind of okay! The consultant later said the doctor is just the type to point things out clearly and move on, and that he is good at surgery!! But the consultant kept using a half-polite tone with me, so I just felt a bit uncomfortable ㅠㅠㅋㅋ The doctor’s consultation didn’t really hit me strongly either, just.. so-so? Maybe because it’s winter, all the doctors seem tired ㅠㅠ...ㅋㅋ Even when he was setting the line, when I asked him to set the line again because I wanted to see it one more time, I could feel he was a little tired...ㅎㅎ
3. Clinic 3 (Director Jeong Geon-il) I went because I saw a photo in a review app that was really my style! It’s a one-doctor clinic, and maybe because it hasn’t been open long, it was clean and pretty ㅋㅋ When I went for my consultation, there was someone who had surgery and came in for treatment, and the doctor really took care of that person and talked while smiling, so that already made me feel drawn to the place. * Consultant consultation? - She briefly understood my needs, summarized the surgical method, and connected me with the doctor. The doctor was very kind and quickly understood what I wanted.. He set the line for me, and it was total art...ㅋㅋ He explained things very meticulously, and when I said there were parts I didn’t understand or asked questions, he explained in detail in a way that was easy to understand. Why this surgical method seemed right for my eyes, how the surgery would be done, etc. Somehow he told me exactly only the things I was curious about, like pinpointing them ㅋㅋ
I’ve now been to 3 places, and I’m planning to visit just 1-2 more before deciding!! Right now I’m most drawn to number 3, but since it’s a newly opened clinic, there aren’t many reviews ㅠㅠ Thinking and thinking.. ㅋㅋㅋ I hope my post helps!
