I woke up in the middle of the night, checked the notification comments, and am making an additional correction. I’m writing this after reading the first comment, so please make sure to read it! I’m not going to write any more comments now. People were mocking my review, saying I was trying to get a small discount and making a fuss, so I’m going to clarify again that that’s not true. I understand wanting to avoid brokers anywhere, but since I’m not one either, I’m leaving this additional correction post, so I hope you’ll definitely read it.
By the time I wrote this extra post, the view count was 99. There may have been duplicate people among those who clicked and read my post, but let’s say there weren’t, then at most 99 people would have read it, right? And if someone reads it while I’m in the middle of editing, then maybe a few more on top of that. This review was never public in the first place, and I uploaded it only after checking and passing level 3 or higher. I also worked a bit to level up so I could read level-3 posts.
I’m deleting all my progress photos and will only edit and leave this additional post up. I will absolutely not delete this review myself. I did not share any information that would identify the clinic, and I won’t share it in the future either. A few people who read my previous post asked for clinic information, but I never gave it. Back then I was still pre-op and anxious, and even after surgery I still didn’t really know how my recovery was going, so I stayed silent because I didn’t want to speak carelessly. Sorry about that.
If, from now on, any eye photos I posted or any review text identical to mine appears here or anywhere else, then that post must have been stolen from me, right? I’m not going to keep coming back to cosmetic surgery sites just to check my swelling and recovery unless there’s a separate problem. So I will never delete this post, and I’ll leave it up with only the photos removed. If my review photos show up somewhere later and I find out about it, I will ask for an investigation against the person who stole them.
I repeatedly confirmed with the clinic that the photos I provide to them are used by the clinic only as before-and-after photos, cropped to show just the eyes, whether on their own site or in printed materials, so my eye photos cannot be uploaded as a review on a cosmetic surgery app or anywhere else!
And as I also wrote in the original post, I originally planned to delete it after a while once I posted the review. I joined about a month ago in October, spent roughly two weeks researching clinics on my own, chose a clinic, and the surgery date that fit my schedule was around the end of November, so I searched even harder for another two weeks. I was nervous that if a bad review came up, I might have to cancel in the middle and look for somewhere else again.
After surgery, I, who normally don’t even take photos, ended up staring at the mirror all day, worrying about different swelling all day and doing compresses, and I took dozens of photos. My eyelids still don’t have the same amount of swelling on both sides, and I’m also concerned that the amount of pupil exposure is slightly different. Since the line came out thinner than I expected at the early stage after surgery, even if the swelling goes down normally, I probably still won’t be able to get exactly the result I wanted, and because of my eye structure and thick skin, I feel I just have to accept that. That’s still a little disappointing.
Still, after having the stitches removed yesterday, I thought I should post a review here, so after dinner I watched TV and selected from the photos I had been taking every day, then wrote and wrote and wrote. I started after 9 p.m., and by the time I posted it, it was already past 11. Why did I write it so long? It just got longer as I wrote... and it’s still getting longer now. Anyway, I guess I looked like some person or broker desperately trying to write a long, detailed review with lots of photos and even editing the day-by-day progress just to get a review discount. Sorry, but that’s not what I am. But what can I do if that’s just my personality.
I’m not a teenager or in my twenties anymore, and the only surgery I’ve had on my face is double eyelid surgery. I’ve never had a nose surgery, contouring surgery, or anything like that, and I’ve been scared of those for life. I’ve never had filler injected in my face either. To be honest, I’ve had rhinitis my whole life, and while I was browsing around to get cosmetic surgery information this time, I came across something called functional nose surgery and searched really hard for it, but it doesn’t seem to apply to me. After looking up a lot of side effect photos, I thought, how old am I now, I should just live comfortably, and I made up my mind never to have any other surgery. There are many people struggling with side effects in Naver cafes and other communities like Babitalk and similar places, so I posted without the clinic information while thinking about how I had worked to get level 3, shared information in comments, and spent money and effort traveling to clinics just to get information and read photo reviews as a level-3 member for this one double eyelid revision.
Also, if you click my ID and search all my posts, there’s exactly one other post I wrote before, and that was the post I wrote after deciding on the surgery clinic. Even after deciding on the clinic, there were still two weeks left until the surgery date, so I kept searching and felt anxious. Even when I searched for clinics on Babitalk, there weren’t many recent incisional eyelid surgery reviews nearby.
Anyway, I’m going to leave it like this after editing. Thanks to everyone who helped me, and I also wrote hard because I wanted to help others with my review too, but I guess I looked like a broker. It’s not like I posted just one photo and wrote something like, “Can someone look at this? Does this seem wrong?” to lure clicks or comments, but after spending hours writing the review and then waking up in the middle of the night to read the first comment and keep adding corrections, I feel like I wrote it for nothing. I ruined my own mood for no reason by writing this review. A little upset. Was this just self-inflicted trouble... haha
I hope everyone finds a good clinic, succeeds, graduates from this community or any other cosmetic surgery site, and never has to come back again! End of the additional correction!

I’m leaving a review today after day 7 of incisional double eyelid surgery and eye correction, just after having the stitches removed. Long rambling post ahead, haha
The eyes I had surgery on with incisional eye correction 6 years ago gradually developed sagging skin over time, and the thick eyelids started covering the double-eyelid line, making the line bend and cast shadows, so my eyes looked smaller and more tired even with makeup. I decided I definitely needed revision surgery, did a lot of online research and in-person consultations, and went ahead with the surgery.
The swelling is still uneven, and because this was an incision surgery, it will probably take 6 months to 1 year, or even up to 2 years, for the swelling to go down and stabilize, so it seems like all I have left to do now is wait. The line will probably get thinner from here, but as of now, I’m satisfied with it.
I have deep-set eyes, one eye is slightly smaller than the other, and thick skin is my limit, so my eyes can’t really support the kind of line I want. Honestly, if my eyes allowed it, I would have wanted a slightly higher line and gone for a semi-out look... but sadly, as I age, the skin will keep sagging anyway. Still, if I raised it more, I was told it would definitely end up looking like a sausage eyelidㅠㅎㅎ
The line near the inner corner of my eye used to sit a little lower, so I thought it was a semi-out line, but the doctor said that because the double-eyelid line starts from the inner-corner in-line direction, it is actually an in-out line with the front corner slightly lifted. I know that if I wanted something more dramatic I would have to get a forehead lift, but I have no intention of having a lift, so I couldn’t raise the line any more, and after discussing it with the doctor, I decided to proceed without being greedy.
I found exactly one photo from 6 years ago to use for the review. I also changed phones a few times since then... and I usually don’t take selfies or photos at all. There’s a photo from about one or two months after surgery where I had mascara and makeup on with fake eyelashes. Other than that, the progress photos from before the revision surgery through day 1, day 4, and day 7 are all completely bare eyes. There’s no Photoshop app or photo retouching, just the phone’s default front camera. I cropped just the eye area and edited it in a collage app, so the image size is smaller and the quality is somewhat reduced.
What surprised me while making this was that when I compared the inner corners of the eyes from 6 years ago and now, the sagging skin became so obvious that I seriously felt a bit shockedㅠㅠ My eyes never had a downward mongolian fold, so I never had a canthoplasty; I only had incisional double eyelid surgery and eye correction. Looking at the current photos, the inner corner of my eye has sagged downward like a mongolian fold... Skin, don’t lose to gravity and aging!! ㅜㅜㅜ
I also wanted to get review info by doing my own research on communities, Babitalk, Naver cafes, and other places, so I put in the effort to level up and search every day and all that, and that’s why I’m leaving a review. But honestly, on cosmetic surgery cafes and elsewhere, I didn’t really get much useful information, so I’m only leaving the review here. I’ll probably delete this review later when enough time has passed.. maybe. hehe Since I plan to keep taking photos occasionally until the swelling goes down, I might upload a one-month review or a six-month review later if I think of it.
And just to make it clear in advance: after saving my eye photos, re-uploading them anywhere, whether here or on any other site, is absolutely not allowed. If you wouldn’t want your own eye photos to be re-uploaded by someone else without your knowledge, please understand that in the same way. Even though it’s just a photo of part of a person’s body that can’t be identified, I’d appreciate it if you could understand that these are review photos uploaded by someone else’s goodwill :)
Oh, and one really important thing! For any review, the first thing everyone wants to know when doing research and making a shortlist is which clinic, which doctor, and how much it cost, right? I originally thought that after surgery, if the progress went well, I would leave a very detailed review.
But the reason I’m not mentioning the detailed clinic information is because I once saw another person’s post saying that after they wrote the consultation details in too much detail, the clinic called them and said, after someone showed that post and argued that the price estimate was different, that they had received a complaint about why they wrote such a post, and in the end they canceled the reservation at that clinic! Especially with the cost, everyone has different eye structures, different surgical methods, and different difficulty levels for revision surgery, plus extra items, so the price can vary. If it’s a same-day reservation or part of a promotion, the price can also be discounted through review-event discounts and the like! In my case, I actually did not receive a review-posting-event discount, so there is no obligation to write a review anywhere, and this review is purely my genuine experience. The discount I received was for same-day booking on the consultation day and for providing progress photos several times if the clinic contacts me before and after surgery. The photos are the kind I provide to the clinic later if they call and request them, not the photos used in this review, and I received the discount after agreeing that the clinic would crop them to use only the eyes as before-and-after photos.
Brokers or clinic staff are probably monitoring this community site too. I don’t want to be identified because of leaving a review and then run into trouble later, so I can’t leave detailed information. I hope you understand.
