I thought there’d be a lot of people here looking for nose surgery consultations in Daegu, so I’m leaving this as informational!! For reference, I had a humped nose (I got injured when I was little, so the hump is pretty severe). The reasons I didn’t go to other famous hospitals like ㅂㅇ, ㅂㄹㅇ, ㄹㅇ, ㅍㄹㄹ, etc. were.. First, factory-like large hospitals have very heavy advertising, and the doctors looked quite young (I was worried about experience). I was tempted by the large hospitals because they use full general anesthesia, but I had heard of a few side-effect cases around me, so I hesitated. And I canceled the visit to a place that was somewhat famous but felt ambiguous. For reference, my friends around me had surgery at ㄹㅇ and it turned out very glamorous and well done (no side effects so far).
1. ㄹㄷㅅ - Consultation fee: 5,000 won - Waiting time: Reservation yes, waited about 15 minutes. They said if surgery was delayed I might have to wait about an hour, but fortunately I didn’t wait that long! - Surgery method: hump osteotomy + ear cartilage + septal cartilage - Anesthesia: slight sedation + local anesthesia, then proceed while awake I visited because the reviews on a community were pretty good, and it seemed to be well known for closed rhinoplasty too. My nose had a fairly severe hump, so they said osteotomy was needed and an open approach was necessary. As soon as I arrived, they took photos from multiple angles, and the director gave me a long consultation for about 15 to 20 minutes. They explained the surgical method in detail and even drew diagrams on a PPT, so the explanation was very kind and thorough. And I was surprised they were younger than I expected! One slightly disappointing point was that they trailed off at the ends of sentences, or didn’t make much eye contact? (Maybe they were busy.) They seemed a little less confident. The manager was also kind and explained things carefully, which was good, and the nurses at the front desk really did have noses that looked very obviously done. But they were extremely pretty, celebrity-level. At first they asked a lot about whether I wanted silicone, but I absolutely did not want silicone. They didn’t seem resistant to using silicone. Overall, it felt just okay. The price was the cheapest.
2. ㅇㅅ - Consultation fee: 3,000 won - Waiting time: Reservation yes, about 20 minutes or so. It was extremely crowded (lots of middle-aged and older patients). - Surgery method: hump osteotomy + ear cartilage - Anesthesia: slight sedation + local anesthesia, then proceed while awake There weren’t many reviews on a community or online in general. The reason I went there was that it had been famous since I was little, and many people around me had surgery there, but I still don’t know anyone who had side effects. The consultation ended in only about 10 minutes, so it was very brief. (That part was disappointing.) As soon as the director saw my face, they clearly told me what was needed, spoke confidently, and didn’t seem to demand anything excessive. They looked at my facial balance and overall impression. They confidently told me to look around at other hospitals too. The manager explained the price and gave a brief explanation. They confidently said the hump surgery would bring a dramatic change. They seemed reluctant to use silicone (because it can cause inflammation). They seemed to be pursuing a look that was natural but still somewhat glamorous. Maybe because of the long experience, they felt steady and confident, like a father.
3. ㅇㅇㅈ - Consultation fee: 5,000 won - Waiting time: Reservation yes, went in right away. - Surgery method: hump osteotomy + septal cartilage - Anesthesia: slight sedation + local anesthesia, then proceed while awake Even though it’s a one-doctor clinic, the interior is neat and the hospital itself is clean. The director is famous for being blunt, and they really are kind of cool and detached. They took a side-profile photo and explained that they would create a line of this degree, and I could feel that they were aiming for natural beauty without overdoing it. Out of the three clinics, this felt like the one that most strongly pursued a natural result? They said that after nose surgery, it wouldn’t be a dramatic transformation, but that the hump would improve naturally. Even though they’re cool and detached, they answer everything well if you ask questions. The manager was also kind and explained everything very carefully. Since it’s said to be the most famous for noses in Daegu, I somehow felt trust in it. It was the most expensive of the three because of that fame, but the director’s confidence was impressive here too! I felt like there was a reason it’s famous in Daegu.
