Because of my malocclusion, my whole life I covered my mouth even when eating, and it was such a complex that I always lacked confidence whenever I met people. But after two-jaw surgery, I’m so happy.. Since two-jaw surgery touches the facial nerves, I thought I should go somewhere skilled, so I looked for a dental-system hospital specializing in the temporomandibular joint, and I didn’t even consider plastic surgery clinics. I think I made the right choice. I understand this doctor has performed the most two-jaw surgeries in Korea, and as expected from a university hospital, it felt trustworthy. Even if a medical accident happened, there are multiple departments, so I think it would be easier to respond. They also have an orthodontics department, so I go there together. On the day of surgery, it hurt so much that I honestly wanted to jump off, but now I’m fine to the point that I can barely remember when it was like that. There is still some residual swelling in my face, and when I touch it, there is a slight ticklish nerve sensation, but considering that my jaw was moved inward and that it was a major surgery, it feels acceptable. Even after surgery, there were many nurses at the hospital, and they gave me IV fluids even at dawn. They must have been working so hard, but they were kind, which was nice. If you’re going to have two-jaw surgery, don’t do it at a plastic surgery clinic. Please do it safely at a university hospital where there is an anesthesiology specialist and doctors from other departments, so they can respond if something dangerous happens. It also makes me worry less about side effects. And for the first few weeks, it really is so painful, but once that pain passes, you’ll be happy, so those of you doing it, even if it hurts, please endure just a littleㅠㅠ I understand how hard it is better than anyone.. Eat everything you want before surgery, because even after surgery you’ll still want to eat it. All I can say is stay strong ㅠㅠ I hope everyone succeeds!
