I went to 4 places around Apgujeong~Sinsa! I booked consultations after searching online based on criteria like places that don't feel like large hospitals, places that are popular these days, and places that prefer a natural look! I took notes while going around, so this post is going to be long.
Apgujeong 1. ㅋㄹ Plastic Surgery Clinic (one director) Very quiet / unusual point: local anesthesia without sleep sedation / stitch removal O They held three types of lines on both eyes and were kind / They told me to avoid hospitals that recommend ptosis correction and canthoplasty procedures, saying I don't need them / AS period 1 year / stitch removal O *They told me to ask anything I was curious about, so I asked whether they had CCTV and whether the director performs the anesthesia personally. Consultation manager) You should ask me those things~ Director) You're quite suspicious~ We do have it, but even if we have it, legally it doesn't really do anything~ is what they said. *Honestly, before hearing that, I liked everything, and because the reviews in a community were good too, I felt like I should do it there. But maybe it sounded like I was nitpicking, because they seemed offended, so I'm thinking about it.
2. ㅇㅁㄷ Plastic Surgery Clinic (Director Park) It's a name I see a lot these days, and when I looked at review photos, the lines looked thin and natural, and I also felt the recovery was fast, so I looked into it. Recommended natural adhesion, epicanthoplasty, and ptosis correction / Epicanthoplasty = recommended because they said it helps match symmetry. When I said I didn't want it, they said it's not something I absolutely have to do / They recommended non-incisional ptosis correction because my right eye could come undone / But they also said non-incisional ptosis correction itself can come undone easily because it's non-incisional, so I thought it was useless. I watched a video by another doctor on YouTube. AS period 1 year / stitch removal X *The consultation manager just felt like they wanted me to do ptosis correction, so they were insisting that I use a lot of eyebrow strength no matter what. They just frustratingly repeated the same thing, so I just let it go. *This clinic's eyes were so much my taste that when I separately asked people from reviews, it turned out to be here. The fact that they recommended as many as three procedures as a set bothers me a bit. If I do it, I think I'll only do natural adhesion?
Sinsa 3. ㅍㄹㅇㅂ Plastic Surgery Clinic (Director Lee) I visited because they said this person was famous and I was simply curious. There weren't many people waiting because it was a weekday, but they looked busy. It's on a high floor, so the view was insane, and the very white interior felt clean. The desk staff were kind, but the consultation manager said things I didn't want to hear in a kind tone. *You're seeing about ~ clinics today, and that's the most among people I've seen today~ (I personally see fewer than 5 places a day, so I don't know what's so many about that) When I said I wasn't thinking about canthoplasty procedures or ptosis correction, it felt like the manager was about to recommend them but backed off because I might run away? *It was disappointing that the consultation with the director was cut to almost within 5 minutes. They held an inline where the front line doesn't show very well? / AS 1 year / stitch removal has to be done on the third day 9-point natural adhesion / This bothers me. If there are many points, won't scars show more? That's what I thought. It could be my bias? But by my standards, this place somehow seems to do a lot of more glamorous eyes, so that bothers me.
4. ㄴㅅㅎ Plastic Surgery Clinic (Director Kim) What's unusual here is that the AS period is 3 years / As I'd heard, the director was sharp but gave a clear consultation / But I liked it / They clearly told me I don't need ptosis correction, so I gained confidence. 5-point natural adhesion / stitch removal X Maybe because there is no stitch removal, they said I don't need to visit after double-eyelid surgery if there are no problems. But inside I thought, still, shouldn't they check the result once..? I was satisfied with the consultation, so I put down a reservation deposit for now, but the cost is really puzzling. Honestly, does this price make sense for eye surgery...? is how I feel I think cheap things have a reason, so I trust the director, but the price makes me uneasy. And there are lots of comments saying they're famous, but it feels like there are too few review photos?
+In the end, I changed my reservation to no. 2 and booked the surgery date
