Breast Surgery Reviews

The Implants Went in Reversed on Each Side

I am so nervous and unsettled that I wanted to post this. I would like advice.

I had been thinking about breast surgery for the past ten years, and finally set a date. I did legwork and went to consultations at 4 places that were famous for breast surgery, and among them the place I liked most, with a manager who was very straightforward and a doctor who gave me exactly the size I wanted in a very careful consultation, so I finished the consultation feeling good and scheduled the surgery for two days later.

My breasts were already very small and asymmetrical, so I had a strong complex about them. The left side is smaller and the right side is larger. I had researched a lot before surgery, and usually many people have the left side larger (because of the heart position) and the right side smaller. My case is the opposite. Everyone's body shape is different, after all. Even at other consultations, they said my right rib protruded more and that breast was a little larger too.

During the consultation, they measured me and, as expected, caught it exactly, and we decided to put 320 cc on the left side and 300 cc on the right side. My friend came with me that day and listened too, and I even wrote it down precisely in my notebook.

On the day of surgery, the doctor confidently drew the design with a marker, and I went onto the operating table. At that time, it was the biggest surgery of my life, so I was trembling and too nervous to think of checking anything else. I just trusted that they would proceed according to the consultation and went through with the operation.

On the first day I was in so much pain that I completely regretted having the surgery, but when I saw the bigger size it was fascinating, and because of the compression bandage my head was also in a daze, and on top of that I had a cold and felt unwell, so coughing caused severe chest pain and I just waited for recovery.

After three days, the pain had eased a bit and they said I could remove the bandage, so I checked and the right nipple was clearly lower. When I messaged the manager in charge, they said it might be because the swelling was uneven for now.

The next day I went to the hospital for swelling laser treatment and removed the compression bra for the first time to look. But the size written with marker during surgery showed the opposite: right 320, left 300. When I looked more closely because it felt strange, the right breast was clearly larger. Looking again, the card I was given at discharge also shows Right 320 and Left 300 checked. In other words, it was put in opposite to what was discussed at the consultation. It became an even more asymmetrical chest.

I texted the manager in charge, and they said that during the consultation left 300 and right 320 was correct. I have no way to prove this... I know my own breasts, don't I? It is only day 4 now, and as the swelling gradually goes down, the asymmetry seems even more obvious, so I am panicking..

Please give me advice..

++++++Update Thank you to everyone who showed interest.. I feel like I should write an update, so I'll keep it brief.. First of all, it is not any of the hospitals you mentioned. It is a frustrating review, but when I met the doctor, instead of AS, they showed me a PPT-like explanation about why the sizes were inserted this way, saying that because of the size of the breast pocket, they had originally consulted this way and that it had been inserted correctly, and I ended up being persuaded (?) The conclusion is that there is nothing I can do right now. They said if I wanted, they could switch them, but then I would probably dislike it even more. My family also said it's not such a huge difference anyway (if you don't say anything, you can't tell at a glance), so I should just live with it..;; Everyone, please make sure to check carefully when you consult and when you design. I think this was simply an accident caused by carelessness, and all the other surgical (?) factors are completely/perfectly clean. I just hope there are no side effects. I hope everyone has a surgery they are satisfied with and get beautiful breasts. Even if they are a bit asymmetrical... at least I escaped the flat-chest life, so I'll take comfort in being better off than before.
