To start with the conclusion, I’m totally fine with no sagging! People talk about 3 years later, 5 years later, but the doctor who did mine said that if sagging doesn’t happen within 6 months, the surgery was done well! My older sister also had cheekbone reduction at the same clinic as me, and when she reached 3 years, there was no sagging visible to the naked eye, so I decided I should do it too. I think that made it easier for me to choose the clinic. It’s not that my cheekbones were seriously severe, but I had the type of face that looked strong, and my features got overshadowed because of my cheekbones. My dad’s cheekbones are just pretty and harmonious with his face, but my sister and I take after our momㅠㅠ,, genetically, our side cheekbones + 45-degree cheekbones were developed ㅠㅠ My features were okay, but because my cheekbones were developed and my face looked big, my whole face felt less attractiveㅠ You know what I mean, right?
I’m extremely satisfied, but even so! The side effects I feel are: Definitely, when you reduce the 45-degree cheekbones, the pores in the skin above the nasolabial folds that were slightly vertical? become more horizontal. So what I mean is, it may be hard to understand, try pushing your cheekbones toward the nasolabial folds. Then the skin gets compressed and the pores get pressed horizontally, right? That’s the feeling! Sorry if it’s hard to understand, this is the limit of my explanation. After surgery, the shape of the pores changes slightly. I’m really detail-sensitive, so I notice it especially, and it’s absolutely not that the nasolabial folds got deeper or that it sagged like what people commonly call bulldog cheeks. It’s just a subtle change in the skin pores, so people with good skin may not even notice this side effect.
And the second side effect is that the volume of the jawline fat under the side cheekbones looks very sli~~~ghtly increased. But this is because the side cheekbones were reduced so much that the jawline fat looks relatively more prominent. This might also be because I’m the type to care a lot about these things, but I got InMode and it became fine! I got InMode 6 months after surgery, and it’s been 1 year and a half since I last had it.
