That feeling when you look in the mirror after surgery, or when you look in the mirror after splint removal: total disaster VS jackpot. I had my first nose surgery 16 years ago (L-shaped silicone) hehe. The result was a total disaster… My nostrils were uneven and my nasal bridge was crooked hehe. Still, the reason I didn’t get revision surgery and endured it until now was because I woke up during surgery, and the pain and fear in the operating room remained as trauma, so I couldn’t find the courage to get revision surgery. Now my skin has become very thin, to the point where it wouldn’t be strange if the L-shaped silicone around the nasal ala area pierced through the skin, so I had no choice but to go ahead with revision surgery.
Consultation Director Kim Jㅇ looked more meticulously than I did, values overall harmony, and the consultation time was long (I wasn’t the one holding him up; the director held me back three times, what??). He won’t perform unnecessary surgery even if the patient wants it lol. I also work in the service industry, but I actually learned service from the manager at the front desk. My criteria for choosing a hospital are the director + the overall communication and atmosphere of all the hospital staff. ㅋㅇㅍㄹㅅ was that kind of place, so I decided to have surgery here.
Day of surgery To me, who was scared because of surgical trauma, the director first told me that I wouldn’t wake up and that I should feel reassured. I trusted him and closed my eyes, and wow, I really didn’t wake up. Everyone knows, right? Pain is pain, but you have to look in the mirror right away!!! I looked in the mirror and wow… jackpot!!!!!!!
Day 3 mission - removing the nasal packing They removed one side, and it seriously hurt. I cried. (You know, right? There are two nostrils...) The director asked if it hurt a lot and wiped my tears. (Ah… what is this? Human warmth touching me)
Week 1 mission - splint removal + first removal of nasal stitches + switching from Gogh ear mode back to normal ear mode Before removing the splint, the director explained the process in advance, so I was less scared (it felt like the director was more serious about splint removal than I was). When removing the stitches, the director was leaving, so I only said to the nurse, “Isn’t my older sister going to hold my hand?” but the director turned back and gave me a doll. (Ah… human warmth touching me +2)
Everyone knows, right??? After splint removal, what waits for us is skin trouble. During my first surgery, the taping was left on for a long time, so my skin completely broke out and I seriously struggled for a while. I was mentally preparing for it this time too… but why is my skin clean??
It was fascinating and I liked it so much that I was staring blankly, then missed the train right in front of me, but I was still happy even while waiting 4 hours at Suseo Station.
- I rested for only 1 week and started working, but there was so little swelling that customers couldn’t even tell.
Week 2 mission - stitch removal from the ear + inside the nose (no need to be scared, it doesn’t hurt) I had nothing to ask, but the director kept asking me questions instead (it seemed like he wanted me to ask something). What is this??? This feeling like our roles have been reversed??? And there is a manager at the front desk who is the definition of kindness. The manager said she would do swelling laser treatment for me, but I said it was okay because I didn’t have swelling hehe. What is this… Since I ended up refusing instead, it felt strangely new….
It’s not because anyone told me to do it, and I’m doing this out of my own satisfaction, but pain is still pain, and fear is still fear. Not only Director Kim Jㅇ but all the staff at ㅋㅇㅍㄹㅅ Hospital truly empathized with me and encouraged me, not just with businesslike service, so every time I go to the hospital, I feel that choosing this place was a godsend.
Everyone, you were worried because there weren’t reviews here, right? I was too. The reason there aren’t many reviews for ㅋㅇㅍㄹㅅ is that they don’t have acquaintance discounts, referral discounts, or review discounts. They also only do about 2 surgeries a day, so when making a reservation, there are only the 9:30 a.m. slot or the 2 p.m. slot. Just keep that in mind.
The reason I’m writing this voluntarily without any compensation is because I live outside Seoul and can’t go to Seoul often, so I did a huge amount of online research (seriously suffered so much). I’m writing this in hopes that it may help everyone who is considering revision surgery or surgery.
[Just as each person has an image that suits them, I’m hearing a lot that I look younger because they recreated my nose into one that suits me.]
