I’m writing this in the hope that it helps people who are debating whether or not to get medial epicanthoplasty restoration. First, I had medial epicanthoplasty and incisional double-eyelid surgery at a young age 13 years ago. Back then, I thought that getting double-eyelid surgery was supposed to make your impression look sharp and make you look older? So I just lived with it for 13 years.. As time passed and it sagged little by little? Some parts became more natural, and people always told me my eyes were big and pretty, so I got by okay,, but every time I took a front-facing photo, I kept being bothered by the feeling that my features looked pulled inward and by the surgical scars. Recently I found out there was such a thing as medial epicanthoplasty restoration surgery, so I visited a lot of clinics and watched tons of YouTube videos. I went to more than 5 consultations just for medial epicanthoplasty restoration, and among them, Mate Plastic Surgery wasn’t even on my list. The reason was that I already had a clinic I had basically chosen in my mind?.. But at that clinic, they said my current eyes were pretty too, and that if I had surgery, Mongolian folds would form and my eyes would become smaller than now, so I had given up.. Then recently, the consultant at the clinic where I had my rhinoplasty said she had also had medial epicanthoplasty restoration and recommended it to me too,,? (I asked where she had it done, and it was Mate.) So I just looked at that consultant’s eyes and immediately booked surgery at Mate and lay down for surgery.. I praise myself so much for that decision back then. First of all, I saw a lot of reviews saying the director is meticulous, and he really is meticulous. None of the Mongolian folds that other clinics worried about happened at all. My eyes were originally on the bigger side, so I didn’t really feel they became much smaller. People around me often told me my impression became softer. Everyone says I got prettier without being able to tell what I did, so I’m very satisfied. Since the scars improved, I take a lot more front-facing photos too, and taking selfies has become fun. I feel so happy every time I look at my eyes. Thank you, Director Kim Geun-sik, for letting me be born again? Please be blessed!
