Before Before I’m writing a review after getting Shurink Universe at an assembly-line clinic through an event. Most people probably know Shurink Universe as having no pain and no downtime, but for me it hurt a lot during the procedure and I also experienced side effects, so I’m writing this so people can keep in mind that this can happen too. My skin is on the thicker side (not self-diagnosed; a dermatologist told me), and I’m underweight so I don’t have much facial fat. But Shurink Universe hurt more than any other procedure I’ve ever had… If you imagine hundreds of needles thinner than hair piercing through bone all at once, that’s probably pretty close to the actual feeling. Most people say Shurink Universe didn’t hurt, and if you say it hurt, people go “huh?” and even treat you like you’re the strange one, but for me it seriously hurt like crazy. It hurt to the point that even if the results had been really good, I wouldn’t feel confident getting it again because of the pain. And the side effects mainly appeared in two places (later I noticed a few more very subtle spots, but I only took two photos, so I’ll just mention these). One was a very subtle depressed area, as if one layer of skin had been shaved off (not the commonly mentioned sunken cheek), and the other was pigmentation. The depressed area was only red at first, but after a few days it became indented. The pigmented area was also red at first, then from the next day it became raised like embossing, and after a few days it remained as pigmentation. When I asked the clinic where I had the procedure, they said it was rare but still handled the aftercare coolly… On my second visit, a senior doctor was assigned to me and treated the areas with pigmentation with laser, as well as other areas… But while it’s good that they provide aftercare without questioning it, having to keep going there for aftercare is even more stressful…ㅠ Going all the way to Gangnam and back wastes so much energy and time, and I really became like this after getting this procedure there, but I somehow felt like I’d become a difficult patient… Actually, on the second visit, the doctor said the depressed area was unlikely to be due to Shurink Universe, and I do understand the doctor’s position… People who go to those assembly-line clinics get this here and that there, all sorts of procedures, so how would they know whether it was because of the procedure done there? But I originally went to fairly expensive dermatology clinics and only went there when I started trying cost-effective clinics. Before getting that procedure there, the only procedures I’d had at other clinics were Botox and hair removal. Even the Botox was between my eyebrows, not in the area where I got Shurink Universe. Anyway, Shurink Universe is known as painless and safe, but it wasn’t for me… I question whether it’s a procedure you can just get at an assembly-line clinic just because it’s cost-effective. If you really do it at an assembly-line clinic, I hope you request a director with some experience… For reference, I heard the doctor who did my procedure left the clinic after I had side effectsㅠㅋ Also for the cost-effectiveness… Be careful, because like me, you might get drawn in by an event, but when you actually go, the price only applies to 100 shots and they say payment for 300 shots or more is required.
