Eye Surgery Reviews@eye-review

11 years ago, full incision & ptosis correction, now double eyelid surgery on the right eye only...

Before <before surgery> Before <before surgery, when opening the eyes> After <1 month after surgery - there was swelling, so it looked even prettier haha> After <3 months after surgery> After <appearance of the eyes closing one month after surgery (they look even more similar now)> Eleven years ago, after the college entrance exam, I had full-incision surgery and ptosis correction because I had ptosis. But my right eye became a completely hidden double eyelid ㅠㅠ I had been stressed about it the whole time, so I eventually had surgery. I went directly to websites of eye-specialty hospitals and narrowed it down to the place whose before-and-after photos matched my taste the most. I decided on just one place, IQ, and didn't even go to consult anywhere else.

I originally thought I'd naturally have both eyes done with an incision. But during the consultation, they said there was no need to do both, and that only the right eye would be done with buried sutures instead? They said if only one side became a bit larger, it would improve the difference in how quickly the eyes close.... While researching, I'd never seen a revision where a buried-suture procedure was done after an incision, so it was really surprising and amazing.

After the surgery, I had no bruising at all and the swelling was honestly minimal.

And the speed difference when closing my eyes, which had stressed me out the most, has really been completely improved now. Every time I see photos taken by other people and notice both eyes closing exactly the same way, it feels so amazing and moving. Of course, the size of the eyes became the same too. The surgical design on the right eye was prettier, so when I went back to the hospital a week after surgery, I asked if we could do the left eye too, but they refused and said this is just right now haha. They're really so young, but they're like my second father.

(I also regretted not having my mom get surgery here.)
