When the double eyelid surgery I had as a child 10 years ago started coming undone, I was looking into revision surgery, and since I was doing it anyway, I thought I’d do my nose too, so I researched both online and in person for two months~ But the whole process of researching online and going to consultations was so stressful and exhausting. The more I looked, the harder it got to decideㅠㅠ On top of that, I worry a lot and have trouble making decisions..ㅎㅎ I’m the super cautious type… At that time, I happened to find this community and got a lot of help, so I wanted to help others who are going around for consultations too, so I’m leaving my consultation reviews~~(I hope it helps, even a little,,) I ended up choosing well and had my eyes + nose done together, and I’m on day 3 nowㅋㅋㅋ It’s still hard to check because my eyes are swollen and I still have the nasal splint on, but I think the lines are matched well, and I’m recovering well without major swelling or bruising Today I had the cotton removed from my nose and the cartilage-ear bandage taken off tooㅎㅎ I’m resting at home and got so bored that I thought, I should leave a review~ㅎㅎ
First, the condition of my eyes: I had double eyelid surgery with full incision 10 years ago, but one side came completely undone, so I had multiple creases + no fat + sunken eyelids + the line was too high.. It was a total mess, so every clinic said my eyes were difficultㅠㅠ The surgical methods were all different too.. So it was really hard to decide~ㅠㅠ As for my nose, I already had somewhat of a bridge, so I had no intention of touching it, and it wasn’t a weirdly shaped nose, but I still wanted just the nasal tip to be sli~ghtly higher (I don’t like unnatural, flashy noses)!! Absolutely no implants!!
1. ㅍㄹㅁㅇ Plastic Surgery - Director ㅈㅇㅈ Eyes: ptosis correction + fat grafting harvested from the thigh needed + incision (they said they would match the line to the opposite eye) Nose: nasal tip only, using cartilage Total cost for eyes + nose: 780? The consultant recommended placing a deposit that day, and said they would also give a discount for a review event. The consultant was good at counseling, but the doctor was so busy that compared to the wait time, I think the consultation ended in less than 5 minutes.. He rushed through the consultation and left.. So I didn’t really feel like doing it there
2. ㅇㅎㅅ Plastic Surgery - private clinic, so there is one director They specialize in eyes, so I didn’t consult about the nose They diagnosed that ptosis correction and fat grafting didn’t seem necessary. Instead, they suggested lowering the line and doing a two-line excision technique. They said my eye-opening strength looked sufficient, but the line was high, which is why it was coming undone, and if the eyelid hollowing got severe later, they would do a slight fat graft. They told me to consider scarring and multiple creases if doing the two-line excision technique (after hearing that, I wanted to do it even less..) (I liked that they didn’t recommend all sorts of unnecessary extras, but after going home and looking it up, I learned that the two-line excision technique is very difficult and even doctors don’t do it often, so I felt reluctant. And I didn’t like that it involved thinking about doing things later.) The doctor very carefully created the line several times, examined me in detail, and consulted for a long time, which I liked, and I liked that it was a private clinic and that the consultant didn’t promote or pressure me, but I passed because I was reluctant about the two-line excision technique Eye cost: 250
3. ㅈㅇㅈㅇ - Director ㄹㅇㅅ Here too, I only had an eye consultation Ptosis correction + fat grafting + line lowering The director carefully created the line multiple times and consulted with me. So I had almost leaned toward this place.. but the consultant’s attitude was really bad. The price was 420 for eyes only, which was too expensive, and when I said it was expensive, she answered half-heartedly like, if you’re going to go to another clinic, then go, and gave no real explanation. She told me the price and that was it. It was expensive, and the consultant’s attitude was bad, so I passed. Also, it felt like a factory, so I didn’t like it..
4. ㅍ Plastic Surgery - Eyes: Director ㄹㅇㅇ / Nose: Director ㄱㅎㅈ Eyes: Recommended the two-line excision technique, said fat grafting wasn’t needed, but that fat repositioning around the eyes was needed, and recommended a semi-out line with a slight medial epicanthoplasty (I wanted an in-out line and my existing eyes were also in-out, so I wasn’t interested, and I disliked the recommendation for medial epicanthoplasty. Also, this clinic is known for being good at making flashy semi-out eyes, but it felt like they would stamp out the doctor’s style rather than make eyes that I wanted and that suited my face, so I didn’t like it) Cost: 270 (the canthoplasty was 50, but this was the price after they removed it, saying they would do it as a service) Nose: nasal tip only using ear cartilage and septal cartilage, improve bulbous nose and make a straight-to-slightly-curved line (I had filler injected into the nasal bridge as a service when I had double eyelid surgery 10 years ago, but they wouldn’t clearly tell me whether to dissolve it or not, and also said they didn’t even know whether it was still there or not, and that they would have to open it during surgery to know.. They said if they opened it and it was there, they would scrape it out and use silicone, otherwise they wouldn’t.. I wondered if it was okay for a doctor to be this uncertain, and I didn’t like the possibility that they could put in silicone I didn’t want while I was asleep, so I passed) Cost: 190
5. ㄴㅅㅎ Plastic Surgery - Director ㅅㅇㅇ (I had surgery here!!) I went because it’s a clinic famous for revision eye surgery, and then just had a nose consultation too Eyes: No need for the two-line excision technique (this director has over 20 years of experience, and as someone with long experience, he said he is very reluctant to use this technique. Because of concerns about scarring and multiple creases, he said if we did the two-line excision technique on my current eyes, the scar would be very noticeable, and over time the multiple creases would get severe again). He said we should simply lower the line with an incision. He said ptosis correction probably wasn’t really necessary, but if I wanted, he would do just a very slight amount as a service (First of all, this director spent a very long time creating my eye line during the consultation, and explained the surgical method in a way I could understand, like teaching at my level.. It almost felt like taking a lecture.. And I liked that the surgical method was simple without doing a bunch of complicated things, I liked that he didn’t recommend anything weird, and I liked his experience) Nose: He said this director would do my nose too. He said it didn’t matter whether there was filler in my nasal bridge or not. Since I was only going to touch the nasal tip anyway, he simply told me not to worry about it.. He said touching the bridge would look weird and wouldn’t suit my face, and that he would use cartilage and septal cartilage only for the nasal tip to lengthen the columella and tie the cartilages..? So he said he would make it slimmer and slightly higher. Since a step-off could occur, he said he would use autologous dermis to smoothly connect and fill the nasal tip with the untouched area The autologous dermis is harvested from behind the ear. He said we should make a straight-to-slightly-curved line like Shin Se-kyung’s nose They said they provide free AS for 3 years Eyes + nose cost: 460 if participating in the photo-provision event, otherwise 506
6. ㄱㅇ Plastic Surgery - only one doctor each for eyes and nose This is a place I heard about through an acquaintance, like by word of mouth, and they said it’s a clinic famous by word of mouth because they don’t actually advertise or post reviews Eyes: The director didn’t seem confident..ㅠㅠ It almost felt like I got turned away… And the line he made was not pretty at all.. Nose: He said to do only the nasal tip with ear cartilage (the simplest surgical method among all the places I consulted, and he even said they don’t put cotton inside the nose, so there would be no bleeding and it would be comfortable.. Apparently that’s actually why this clinic is famous) But he said other people wouldn’t notice that I had nose surgery.. that only he and I would know.. and told me not to be sad about it.. Actually, an acquaintance did it secretly from her parents, and her parents still don’t know.. I also didn’t notice when I saw her after a long timeㅋㅋ It’s a clinic that does things that naturally and safely, but I thought the satisfaction might not be very high. And the difference is really subtle, and rather than making a pretty nose, it felt more like the director pursues just naturally improving flaws..? That kind of feeling.. So I liked that the surgical method was simple, and even though I also pursued naturalness no matter what..? Still, I thought I’d be sad if there was no difference between before and after, so I passed…
I went to 6 consultation places,, and I even had two more consultation reservations afterward, but my mind was made up, so I didn’t go to any more consultations and decided!! Oh, and because I wasn’t sure, I went for a re-consultation at ㄴㅅㅎ, which I was debating the most, and even at the re-consultation, the director told me to ask everything I was anxious or curious about before leaving.. because otherwise I’d go home and think of something againㅋㅋ He understood the patient’s feelings so well that I decided on this place!! I also didn’t have much information about plastic surgery, so originally I had placed a deposit at the first clinic right awayㅋㅋ But I think that’s like being an easy customerㅜㅜ I think you really have to go to many, many places to become sure about a clinic and make a decision Even after 3 places, I had no certainty and no clinic I liked, so I was going crazy.. I really got to the point where I thought, just forget everything and don’t do itㅋㅋ But I met a good director and had the surgery done well~ I hope this helps everyone~ Next time I’ll upload a surgery review too
