I had lateral canthoplasty + lower canthoplasty yesterday.
After consulting with the manager, I scheduled the surgery date right away.
It was nice that the director kindly consulted with me before and after surgery using photos of the eyes I wanted.
There are a lot of reviews saying the hospital staff are kind, but I didn’t feel it to that extent, and I felt the director was the kindest.
However, one of my outer eye corners was especially upturned, so I emphasized that I wanted the symmetry adjusted during surgery, but the side that was less upturned ended up being lowered more, so it’s bothering me a lot. But it’s still only day 1, so I’m going to wait a bit.
Opinions are really divided between saying it doesn’t hurt and it hurts, but for me, rather than pain, it was hard lying on the operating table for an hour and a half. When it was over and I came down, my head was spinning.
Maybe because of the anesthetic, I was so dizzy, so I hope you make sure to rest sufficiently in the recovery room for about 1-2 hours before being discharged.
After recovering and coming out, I looked in the mirror and my eyes were completely lowered, so it looked a bit creepy and I was shocked..
As of day 1, my current eye condition is very swollen, and conjunctival edema came in both eyes, so my vision is blurry and I’m putting in eye drops frequently.
After actually doing it myself, I think this surgery seems very bad for eye health itself. It feels like it puts a huge strain on the eyes. Even so, I’m satisfied because my eyes look much more opened up. I want time to pass quickly so I can see my eyes looking natural.
