I had it done in November 2021, so it has been a little over a year. I got it done cheaply through an event where you provide photos.
At the time, the surgery was done so that it would not be overcorrected and I could return to daily life. Maybe because my eye openings were not originally large, the result was not completely dramatic, but when I ran into an old boyfriend after a long time, he seemed unsure and said I looked somehow gentler?
Until this spring, before the 6-month mark, I don’t think there was much difference, but from after summer, when I look closely at my eyes, should I say the area where I had the lower canthoplasty feels like it has moved back up? Rather than the curve falling naturally, it feels like it gets thinner toward the end...
It is better than not having done it at all, but I definitely don’t think it lasts very long.
+ When my face was stimulated (around the eyes, cheekbone massage), my eyes felt kind of painful. I remember getting really startled when I went for a massage and they touched around my eyes.
