It’s been about a month and a half since my contour surgery! Honestly, no one knows.. Even my mom only asks me if I’ve gained a little weight. I lied and said I was going on a trip after surgery, then stayed at a hotel for two weeks lol Hmm, first of all, I didn’t do it because my cheekbones or jaw were especially prominent. I did it for my own satisfaction, especially because I got so stressed when taking photos, so unless it’s me, I guess it makes sense that no one would really notice..
I think all the major swelling is gone, but what makes me look like I’ve gained weight is the residual swelling around the front cheekbones, cheeks, and under the chin? But people really are fickle. Now that annoys me, and I don’t even remember what it was like before.. Looking at photos, it really was a mess.
I’m really, really satisfied.. I’m so grateful to the doctor.... The sensation in my lower lip and chin still feels a little strange, but I can feel it gradually getting better, so I’m not worried. I can fit about two and a half to three fingers in my mouth too! No issues with eating at all. No asymmetry either. At first, smiling and talking felt really awkward, and I thought I looked like a bulldog, so I kept worrying, what if it failed? But that turned out to be a privileged worry..
Once the residual swelling goes down little by little, from the third month onward I’ll probably just live forgetting I even had it done. I hope the swelling in my front cheeks goes down a bit faster..
