Ten years ago, after finishing entrance exams, I... knew nothing about plastic surgery, and back then there weren’t apps like there are now. There were reviews that looked obviously like advertising, and I knew that, but the review photos looked pretty, so I went. Even then, the hard-sell consultant’s way with words was... incredible, but at the time I was too young and really got sucked in as if I were bewitched. The consultant practically made the whole diagnosis, and the consultation with the director was very short. Thinking about it now... sigh, I was too young. Consultant... we were like a cheetah and a puppy... I even paid a reservation deposit that day. After leaving the consultation, I went somewhere else too, and the surgical method was completely different. But that place focused mainly on consultation with the director, and thinking back, I feel like the diagnosis there would have suited me better. However, there wasn’t a cheetah-like consultant there... and the price was much cheaper too, but at the time that somehow felt... a bit more... suspicious? Thinking about it now, An Plastic Surgery was just too expensive. What I remember from the consultation at the other place was scarless non-incisional surgery + nostril reduction... I don’t remember whether they also recommended osteotomy.
Anyway... coming back to it, the consultant at An Plastic Surgery said that later on, the scar from an incisional nose surgery wouldn’t be very visible, but what the heck;; it absolutely remains... and covering scars too... a person can’t live wearing makeup every single day... And here, they didn’t decide and tell me how many millimeters they would use; it seemed like they adjusted it during surgery while carving the silicone. So even now, 10 years later, I still don’t know how many millimeters I got. I do think that can happen, but in the end I had no sense of how high my nose would become... I couldn’t be sure through abstract conversation whether the consultant + director and I were thinking of the same height. But I also didn’t feel suspicious, because according to the consultant’s smooth talking, not deciding the millimeters was also because of the director’s craftsmanship. I think she said about 20 times that the director was really good... and as I kept listening, I was a pitiful 20-year-old who truly got entranced as if by hypnosis. What I had done here was osteotomy + silicone + using ear cartilage at the nasal tip to gather it.
First, now that 10 years have passed... it has lowered a great deal compared to the beginning. Even when half a year to over a year had passed after surgery... people who suspected plastic surgery would say that looking at the line, it seemed like I had done it, but because the nasal bridge was low, they weren’t sure? That was the kind of suspicion. The nasal tip was also a bit pointy... Well, if it had turned out well, I didn’t intend to hide it... but it was embarrassing to say I had done this, so I stayed quiet. And the nasal tip shape and nasal bridge line are really far from natural, and instead of a semi-boseon line, it just became a full boseon nose line. At the time, semi-boseon was the trend, and I don’t know if it still is now, but it really looks obvious. But even if it looks obvious, it wouldn’t matter if it were pretty, yet the nose is low and only looks obvious... and the nostrils are still wide as they were... As time passed, it feels like the nose got lower and wider. The clinic did not recommend nostril reduction, saying it wasn’t necessary because the nasal bridge would become high enough and gather the nose. But the nose... goes down... Please keep that in mind... From the front, it’s almost the same as before surgery haha..
And even now there haven’t been any especially unusual side effects, but what I’ve continuously felt from right after surgery until now is that the nasal mucous membrane becomes really weak and dry... In winter, the nose feels very cold... I want to change the nose shape again, but then I also think, how much prettier would I really get? Unless you really have to, I recommend just living without nose surgery
Overall, if you like a flashy and obvious look, it might suit you, and the fact that it’s done under local anesthesia is good. Other than that... I’m not sure. Here, the director’s style seems very firm, so if that nose shape is exactly what you really want, then you can do it, but if you’re considering even a slightly different style tailored to yourself, I think it would be better to give up... I hope you don’t make same-day reservations anywhere.
