Review of corner-of-mouth revision surgery one year after philtrum reduction

Hi everyone, I am the person who kept posting reviews about philtrum reduction. In my last review, I said I would have revision surgery on the corners of my mouth, so here it is. Please check my previous post for reviews related to philtrum reduction. It is inconvenient to add photos and write posts in this community, so I wrote it as a separate image, like my one-year review last time. I will write it here too. For my first philtrum reduction, I had inner and outer philtrum reduction and corner-of-mouth surgery. All of them left severe scars, but the corner-of-mouth surgery was difficult to correct even with nonsurgical treatment, and I was dissatisfied with the shape, so I decided to have revision surgery after a year. As you can see in the photos, one corner was pulled too high and bent awkwardly into a D shape, while the scarring on the other side was so severe that I could not open my mouth wide, causing a functional problem. I no longer trusted the original surgeon's aesthetic judgment after seeing the result, so I decided to find a new clinic even if it cost more. When searching for a clinic for revision, the most important thing to me was whether there were photos with the mouth open, because even I cannot tell that the scars and asymmetrical corners are this noticeable when my mouth is closed in photos lol... After visiting many clinics known for philtrum reduction and corner-of-mouth surgery, including [Clinic A], [Clinic B], and [Clinic C], I found a clinic that officially included open-mouth photos in its before-and-after results. Perhaps because it opened recently, it is not very well known locally, but it seemed that many Japanese people were having surgery there. After consultation, I felt they matched my needs best, so I decided to have surgery there. In the end, I loved the result from immediately after surgery. As shown in the photos, the suturing was much smaller and more meticulous than at the first clinic, so I was satisfied. The scars disappeared even when I opened my mouth, and above all, the corners of my mouth finally had a normal shape. The left-right symmetry and the height and position of the corners were both good. I have just had the stitches removed. Since I learned from my first surgery that scars usually become more noticeable after a month, I will keep monitoring them, but I am so satisfied right now that I wanted to write this review. Next time I will leave a brief photo review at one month and afterward too.
