Sunken Eyes and Under-Eye Fat Repositioning

Before <before surgery> Before <before surgery> <Day 3> <Week 2> I didn’t even know my eyes looked sunken and thought only my dark circles were the problem, but after looking into it, I realized I was a case that needed under-eye surgery.. But once I made up my mind and started researching, most opinions said that if it was only a dark-circle issue, it would be pigmentation, so there was a high chance under-eye surgery wouldn’t be very effectiveㅠㅠ So I assumed that on my own and gave up, but I still wanted to at least get a consultation.. I felt like if I heard what a doctor had to say, I’d be able to sort it out clearly..

Still, surgery is surgery, so I narrowed it down to about 4 places that said they specialized in under-eye fat repositioning and went for consultations. At every clinic I visited, they said it could be improved with under-eye fat repositioning..? I was happy they said it was possible, but since they all said it was possible, choosing a clinic became so hardㅠㅠ I had surgery during peak season, so there were places where the response wasn’t great, but I looked at a lot of reviews here and there and had surgery at the place I was most drawn to. I think I was drawn to it even more because they honestly told me that dark circles can take a long time to improve and may be difficult to improve completely. Patients need to be told things like that so they can understand realistically.. I ruled out places that just said it would definitely succeed and go well.

For a week after surgery, I lived with bruises like this.. haha Some people apparently don’t bruise, but my bruising lasted about a week~ But it wasn’t severe like I’d been hit somewhere; yellow bruising came up. Things like this are solved by time, so I waited comfortably haha. I tried not to lower my head whenever possible, and because I didn’t want swelling, I reduced sodium in my diet and ate clean.. I think it helped.

Week 2 after surgery.. I took photos with the basic camera, without an app. I can’t believe I’ve escaped using appsㅠㅠ It hadn’t been long since surgery, but I was amazed because the aegyo-sal that didn’t show when I smiled before became visible, and my under-eye area looked cleaner. When I asked the director, they said they didn’t create aegyo-sal with surgery; it was aegyo-sal I originally had, and it became visible as the under-eye area was tidied up? Oh, nice.. I thought I was someone without aegyo-sal.. Since I consistently received all the aftercare provided by the clinic, I think that may also be why recovery was faster! Honestly, I work in a field where I can’t help but care about my appearance, so I’m even more satisfied. What I want to say to those considering surgery is that if you’re unsure, I recommend at least getting a consultation. Doctors’ perspectives and the perspective of ordinary people like me are definitely different. Of course. If I had thought by myself that it was only a pigmentation issue and hadn’t even gone for a consultation, I would have lived like this foreverㅠㅠ There was some issue with dark circles too, but thankfully they told me accurately that it wasn’t only that problem, so I think the surgery went well. My parents were strongly against it because it was eye surgery, but now they say they want to do it too.. haha Around next year, when things are more relaxed, I’m planning to take my parents as well. Under-eye fat repositioning is a surgery I’m grateful for because it changed both my outer appearance and my inner self.
